I am on waitlist for the Logo topper coat A269658, and I noticed when clicking on the item it says "it is no longer available."  My account says I am still on Waitlist,  but wonder if it will stay in that status for months and I will not recieve it.  Does this status mean I will only get it if one is returned?

@Biftu  No.,  You can still get it if someone has canceled their order and it hasn't caught up quite yet to the waitlist orders, or if someone said they'd send in a check and then don't by the time the check is due.  But most likely, if you get one it'll be a return.

I could be wrong but I thought waitlist meant they ran out of inventory and would restock and fill the waitlisted orders.

This was always my impression as well. I would interpret 'no longer available' as QVC keeping more people from getting on the wait list than they can serve with incoming stock.

@islandgrrl @Snoopp -- That's not always the case...sometimes an item is never restocked and eventually your waitlist order will be canceled. For example if an item is already on "clearance" and you are able to go on waitlist, you'll only get your order if someone else cancels or returns theirs.

@vermint

Thanks for that explanation. I have always been confused about the difference between 'as is' and what folks refer to here as sending out 'returns' at their full price.

 I forgot, how long do items remain on Waitlist before they are canceled -- 45 days?

You are very welcome! "As is" confuses me a bit, too, except that "as is" can mean that something has minor damage, but the price is so low that you might be willing to deal with it.

Yes, 45 days. I think you are then given the option to continue waiting or to cancel your order.

I used to think that was what "waitlisted" meant, too, but not anymore. I think they are largely waitlisted pending returns. I've heard too many vendors say it takes up to a year to get more stock in of a particular item to think waitlisting means pending arrival of new stock. When I return an item, it is always with all tags attached, in tissue, unworn but tried on. Perfectly good to resell, but I have received obviously worn items that I didn't even bother to try on.
