Dont get me started on butt cracks. We should get used to women being able to look like themselves too.
How to have a bikini body- Have a body. Put on a bikini.

I get your point, @HaileyB, but I'm not so sure that this statement is correct.

Not so sure? Is that what you meant...
I dont even notice these guys anymore. They are just part of the landscape to me. Wish large women, small women, flabby women and old women could also just be allowed to be.

Yes, I did mean "not so sure," @HaileyB. Thanks for catching that.

And I certainly understand your sentiment. But there is nothing we can do about what might be a fleeting thought in some people's minds.

How often does anyone tell these men to cover up?  Yet women on this board and elsewhere are told they have to cover up before they can be seen.

Based on the number of posters on these boards complaining that they don't want to see women of certain weights on TV and the website, I think the problem is more than a fleeting thought.

Let me make this more clear. Yes, we all know that some people have an aversion to those they consider to be very fat. No doubt at all about that. And they express those feelings.

But do we really believe that even some who profess that they have no such feelings may still have a viscera reaction to any extremes in weight, be it what they consider too fat or too skinny?

That was my only point, @NYCLatinaMe

@suzyQ3 I have a visceral reaction against the hatred of women and their bodies.

I don't concern myself with what the advertising companies do to boost sales. I'm more concerned about being overweight and to me showing a model like that seems to make it okay to be overweight and it's not...it's unhealthy and that's just the way I see it.

A study was done with young women being asked whether they would rather have cancer than be fat. Sadly the overwhelming response was they would rather have cancer.

Many are conditioned from an early age to be fat phobic.
