"Tropical" styles aren't too popular in Phoenix...

@Kachina624   Your Arizona weather is so rare out local weatherman is covering it daily!  Stay safe!  Good luck with the allergies!

@InStitches49

You are not alone. I am definitely on the side of no beach themes on clothes. I grew up in San Diego by the beach, and it was typicially tourists that would wear shells and anchors. Some older folks would wear beach themes.

I guess things have changed, but it is something I just don't care for. Now if I go to a beach it is everywhere. It seems corny, and can be truly kitschy. Have fun if it appeals to you.

@Zhills.  Except I'm in New Mexico.  However we have the same situation with unseasonably high temps this year, just not as hot as Arizona due to our altitude.

@on the bay.  Kim Gravel has a lobster sweater I described that seems to appear every summer.   She has more sea critter clothing than I've ever seen in one place.

@Kachina624,

This reminds me of those wonderful days when the fashion threads would have the best critiques that would just keep rolling

and we all were laughing so much at them all-some great writers!

Thanks for the laughter!Woman LOL

I can't even rmember the last time I was at a beach----maybe in the early 00's--- However why do you have to wear it just to the beach? Not a wide legged pant fan --I tripped on my wide legged yoga pants and broke my ankle a few years ago--my foot got caught in all the fabric--I do like the colors and most of the prints tho. -

I live in Florida and we are definitely not walking around wearing anchors and lobsters. What I see daily is athleisure wear, shorts, pickleball/golf outfits, sundresses, etc. The Lily Pulitzer brand is popular with the bright colorful floral prints. My guess is the lobster & crab motifs are more popular on the New England Coast since a lot of it is done in sweaters. You would burn up down here.

Agree, not the least bit interested in traveling - But Q is trying to sell clothes, and those of us staying home, don't need a thing! 🤣🤣🤣
