Too Much Emphasis on Beach/Resort Designs for Me

[ Edited ]

I may be in the minority on this, but I don't care for spring/summer fashions that highlight beach or resort travel tin the designs (for example, a lot of the newer Belle by Kim Gravel fashions).  While some may love that and actually go to beaches or resorts, I prefer plain designs that may or may not highlight facets of spring or summer without going into those type of designs.  I get the flowers and ladybugs (no grasshoppers please) and patriotic designs as well as just plain tops and bottoms.  Like I said, I'm probably the "odd ball" in this.  But if (and that's a big "if" these days) I'm paying a higher price for a top or bottom, I prefer it to be worn a longer time than just a few weeks or around only a holiday.  Just my two cents.....

Even if I'm not at the beach or on vacay, I'll wear fashion that highlights the beach/vacation during the warm months.

I don't wear anchors, seashells, and words like "Beach" on any of my clothes.  But I don't mind seeing it presented for those that love it.

I take that back --- I have one pair of flowy pants that have seashells all down the side of the leg.  I bring them on my cruise and trips to the beach/boardwalk.  Smiley Very Happy

Me too!  I love Kim's Belle Beach line.  I love the beach.  I grew up going to the beach every year.  My first trip I was practically a newborn lol.  And continued going my whole life -it's in my DNA.

I really don't have much use for a long-sleeve sweater emblazoned with a huge lobster since I live far from any coast in the desert where it's already hotter than hades.   However, I recognize that millions of people do, and love sealife motifs.  So bring on the starfish and sailboats.  I'll wait for something else.

@Caaareful Shopper   I'm not big on things with huge prints or words.  Guess I prefer the basic colors.  The only thing I own with words is my Steeler sweatshirt...and another sweatshirt that says Shopping is my Cardio.  🤗

@Kachina624 LOL - i  bought a beautiful Kim sand bar colored sweater with a gold sequin shell on the front that I just love.  More subtle than the lobster lol.  There's a coral one with a pink sequin seahorse too that I may have to buy.  I know you're not big on bling either.
