I have a few pairs of Solara from Walmart (now discontinued) that are bifocal readers.  Handy for map reading, etc., then I don't have to switch glasses.  Most seem to be rectangular.

I've worn glasses all my life and almost exclusively glass lenses.   I tried plastic lenses, but just didn't like them.  The plastic just doesn't work well with bifocals and my prescription.

About 35 years ago, I switched to glass photogray lenses.  Solves the sunglass problem.  My glasses darken depending on what kind of light I'm in.  Very dark in sunlight.

Ray Ban Wayfarer or Havana in tortiseshell for me. I also have a pair of Maui Jim semi-aviator shaped that I wear to play golf. Something about the lense shade makes it easier to see the ball in bright daylight.
