I don't understand what the deal is with all the "summer sweaters" that the Q vendors are showing. And the long and 3/4 sleeve tops and t-shirts. It's summer! How about some elbow length or short sleeves? I live in the Pittsburgh area and it can get very hot and humid here. The last thing I want to wear is long sleeves or an acrylic sweater. You only need so many tops or sweaters to throw on if the AC is cold!

Even though it gets hot in the summer during the days it may not be the same at night.  At night it can get cooler that is why "summer sweaters" are offered.

OP, there are other places to shop you know. Many stores carry what you are looking for.

I crochet colorful lacy "summer sweaters"  ..... using fine cotton yarns.

They are just a decorative addition to wear over a top.

@NEvans2   They keep stressing it gets cooler at night, beach nights, A/C, etc. I personally usually wear long sleeve tees or lightweight linen or cotton shirts in summer. I seem to always be cold indoors with air conditioning cranked up.

I don't watch Q often but I do see short sleeve and sleeveless tops, dresses, etc.

I lived in the Mojave where temperatures can reach 110 but it can also be very cold at night, summer and winter, requiring a sleeve.  In fact, occasionally a coat or jacket was required.

@NEvans2

I just received a big bag of beefy cotton tees with different necks and sleeves from Macys.

You're so right!

I was just on and saw a sweater and said out loud, "Why are they showing sweaters going into the summer season?"

Then I realized, our economy isn't so great right now and maybe sweaters didn't sell for spring time.  So they are trying to sell them to people who will need them on the beach at night.

(Not me)

The economy rebounded great.  It's the retailers & manufacturers realizing their price gouging turned shoppers off.  Hence Target, Macy's, and many other retailers could have kept their prices down, but chose to blame the economy.  So now they are lowering prices across the board.

So now's a great time to shop at all these retailers that finally lowered their prices and get your summer tops, as well as everything else!

@Caaareful Shopper

I will be so glad when that "trickle down" economy is trickling to me.  Items I paid $5 for in the grocery store 3-4 years ago are now $15, i.e., a canister of coffee and meat that I paid $3/pound is now $8/pound so let me know where the economy is rebounding and I will shop there.
