I could be wrong but I think you have to pay regular price shipping for the first item and then every additional item bought that same day ships free.

You are correct. I just saw the free shipping and now just went back to the site and read that you pay for the 1st item and 2nd or subsequent items ship free. So mnay places say free shipping and then when you go to the site, you see it has certain caveats ...." over $ 49.00 purchase or something akin to that.
