@Tinkrbl44 In addition, the cost of fuel to move merchandise through the supply chain has skyrocketed which adds to the prices consumers pay.

Costs have increased for various reasons. I am willing to pay more to support workers who provide goods and services for us, but corporate profits are higher than ever. That's greed, pure and simple.

I thought many people have posted here that QVC proftis are way down???

They post all the quarterly reports etc resulting in the sky is falling for QVC.

Can't be both....Corporate greed with high profits or QVC losing money....

I think profits are down here amoungst many reasons constantly stated is because QVC's prices are not competitive/overpriced.

They are trying to charge as much as "the market will bear." And some will buy despite the high prices but not all, and maybe not enough.

I think most people know they can buy similar at so many other places for much less. Some choose to buy here anyway and many do not.

The GREED NEED by corporations

And inflation.

Here's my useless example but I had to buy cat litter so as always I buy Walmart house brand. Nothing fancy. I was buying a 2 lb bag 1 year ago for 1.18., that same bag, no changes was 1.98 on Saturday.

I don't think  $60 is a high price to pay for nice denim shirt that I'm likely to wear for years since they never go out of style.  I'd balk at $160 or $260.  I think if $60 is too much for YOU, fine.  But you aren't every QVC shopper.  Where did you get the idea that Qvc was a charity or philanthropic group?  QVC is a huge retailer.  One of the biggest in the world so why can't they price their products for the highest profit?  How does that make them greedy?  Is Mercedes Benz greedy for charging $120K for a car?   If you can no longer afford D&Co, there are many other places to shop where prices are lower.  Amazon and Walmart are two.  Whenever I see something I think is to expensive for me, I just look for look for that item at a more favorable price.

@Susan-QVC,

Hi Susan. I noticed there was a warning on my post about posting links. I was unaware I posted a link. I never knowingly post links not only because against policy but I think they can contain viruses.

I just copied and pasted the pictures and info. I didn't copy a link.

Then I see the note about html and to read over then post, which I did.I have seen that before.

What is the difference between copying and pasting and posting a link and how can I tell the difference? How will I know if it is a link if I don't copy a link? I want to know so it doesn't happen in the future. Or maybe is it everytime a quote or wording is copied, it contains a link?

Thank you for any advice you can give.

@RespectLife

I understand your comment. I probably should have clarified my earlier post.

It is a fact that corporate profits are higher than ever for some corporations, but those numbers may not apply to QVC and all companies. I do understand companies raising prices to pay workers more and improve their bottom line. It just blows my mind when I read about CEO pay and bonuses.

still think the Q's prices are a bit high compared to other retailers selling similar items. JMO

Why is the price for a nothing special shirt over $60 once you add taxes and s + h? I love Denim & Co. but the prices are outrageous! I was wondering if anyone could tell me what changed? Can fabric really have gone up that much? I'm sure most of the stuff is still made in 3rd world sweat shops, so I don't think it's workers wages so what could it be? I'm hoping beyond hope it's not greed. I hate people.

Can you help with the item number?  Totally can't judge with knowing fabric and tailoring.
