I think it is insulting when QVC constantly states the REAL value of the item is $XXX, but you are getting it for much less. NOPE, not buying it. The real value to me is what I am buying it for from you, not the higher price that someone else thinks it should be. I know it is a selling ploy, but that does not work on me. How dumb do they think we are?

Don't assume it's just corporate executives that are "greedy".
These are public traded corporations with thousands of SHAREHOLDERS who want their stocks and dividends to increase regularly or they are on the phone calling those "greedy" executives and practically threatening them.
Who cares if they have to raise prices .... They want to see PROFITS.
Yes, people like you and I who own stocks, even just 100 shares, can also be quite greedy.

@lilya333 I notice the same thing. I buy a lot of Denim & Co and they used to be the more reasonable brand at QVC. Now they are up there in price with Kim G, Susan G, Issac M, etc. Seems like after the pandemic the prices skyrocketed!

Why is the price for a nothing special shirt over $60 once you add taxes and s + h? I love Denim & Co. but the prices are outrageous! I was wondering if anyone could tell me what changed? Can fabric really have gone up that much? I'm sure most of the stuff is still made in 3rd world sweat shops, so I don't think it's workers wages so what could it be? I'm hoping beyond hope it's not greed. I hate people.

My problem is Nothing from Target fits me well, and qvc designers like KimG., Susan G. Isaac, fit me better and are much better quality. I prefer quality and a good fit over quantity. I disagree with many here who say the quality is just as good at discount type stores. Kohls is another one where they have great deals, looks ok on the hanger, but the fit is off for me. Just my opinion, of course.

QVC is about vanity sizing versus store brands. You have to adjust your sizing wben you go to retail stores. Target has many different brands and they vary by size. Target has some pricey clothing on their website. You need to do research. Target has good quality clothing.

@Catch71, I understand. Through the years here, I have tried Issac (a pima cotton top which has weird wrinkles and felt funny), one Logo-"haded it" except for the color
,and women with control-did not like the heavy modal jersey fabric. My favorite was Susan Graver but her prices have gone beyond what I want to pay.
I think the big dept stores like Walmart, Target, Kohls, have hits and misses too.
You know who I found has really good things-both fabric and fit?
Is karen Scott from Macys also with great sales. JC Penneys used to have some good brands too but I haven't been there or online for years.
We all just hope to keep finding what works best for each of us.

When Companies are making obscene profits just so the CEOs can buy a 3rd villa, car or yacht and yes, pay off shareholders that is pure greed. Fast food workers in Ca. just got wages up to $20. So the companies are now saying they have to raise prices on the fast food. BS. They made record profits. No need to raise the price of food, They just don't want to go without their bonuses and other perks.
Greed, pure and simple.

If you pay attention to what big corporations are doing, it's all greed.
Corporate profits have skyrocketed even though they say other issues resulted in price increases.
Corporations used covid the the recession of January 2021 as an excuse to price gouge.
I worked for a huge international corporation for nearly 40 years. I was high enough up the ladder to know what was really going on.
People need to stop being so naive about how big corporations work.
Terrific post! I just saw on television where the FTC is getting ready to sue again and enact a ban against Price Gouging, which is what they claim the American public is dealing with.
Also, if anyone thinks factories in China are paying there workers a fair wage, you're sorely mistaken. How else do you think we can buy a pair of scissors made in China for $1 verses $12 if made in America.
The same thing is going with Q brands, only we're not getting the passed along savings that's supposed to be happening here. If you think about it, we aren't buying from major designers! Everything sold is on the same level house brand and a few select brand names as in any regular department store...not An ELITE Store as they constantly compare.
