Hi girls! Well, it's much cooler today - "only" 88° the last time I looked. As soon as I'm through here I'm headed to the PO to mail a bunch of packages to the troops, then I'd take the dogs out for a ride to my bank in Jasper to get the postage reimbursed.
Happy birthday, Susan - hope you had a great day.
Jean, I can't imagine you not subbing - you enjoy it so much.
Well, absolutely nothing even remotely tempted me on the Amazon Prime day; I see that people were not at all happy with their offerings:

The only things I ordered were Meow Mix and paper towels, both needs and I had that nice gift card to use. Oh, and my fluoride-free toothpaste.
Two more pair of new sandals hit the trash - both White Mountain and both with those spongy/foamy bottoms. I wore one pair to Bible study last night; had them on from house to the car to the church, from the church to the car to the house...and when I got home saw the soles were coming apart. I had another pair I'd never worn with the same kind of sole; rather than have them come apart when I wore them someplace I just bent the bottom a little to see what would happen, and sure enough, crack and crumble!
I'll never buy trash like that again - that's over $200 in shows that went in the garbage this year after 0-1 wearing. Now I'm without navy blue sandals...
Bird, I with the jerks who come up with ideas like putting pregnant animals on display like that would be put on a display themselves...idiots!
Just saw the time - gotta run - hi to everyone; hope you all have a blessed day!

Good afternoon everyone, hope your day is going well. Thank you all for the birthday wishes, you know being 29 1/2 is difficult.
Bernie - Sorry your day did not go better. I don't think I would have enjoyed myself either.
LindaL - You will do great leading the class.
Marijane - We were at 49 degrees this morning, it has warmed up to 81 right now. This is not good for my tomatoes.
Charlene - Sorry the kids missed the train, hopefuly everything else goes well for them today.
Arlene - Sorry about the shoes, anymore they just don't make things to last more than one season and that includes shoes. I have shoes I have not worn for years ( just don't need heels that much anymore) and I am nervous to get them out and wear them. My nightmare would be them falling apart when I am out. On that note, I may just start taking back up shoes with me from now on.
Jean - I think the dangely thing on the braclet would drive me nuts or I would catch it on something and break it. I am a walking Murphey's Law.
Well off to do something constructive, have a good afternoon everyone.

Kathleen - I hope that your DH finds another job that isn't so physically taxing. Good luck with your upcoming extraction.
Jean - maybe the hot weather they are forecasting for me this weekend - near 90 (yuck) will drift down your way. I think we might get rain tonight and then the humidity will visit for a couple of days. Oy, and I need to cut the grass this weekend.
LindaL - I'm sure you did a great job leading the strong bones workout. I hope the caregivers support group is helpful. Sometimes you just need to talk to people who are going through the same challenges.
Charlene - I'm enjoying the european vacation :-)
Marijane - I think I might be able to fling the windows open again tonight when I get home from work. I hesitate to leave them open on mornings when it's like 60 degrees. I don't want my old bird to catch a chill.
Arlene - if you didn't have bad luck with your sandals lately, you wouldn't have any. I'm surprised that the white mountain sandals petered out like that. I've had loafers from them that wore like iron.

Hi girls - Came home to find out that there was an act of terrorism in town - four Marines are dead, and so is the shooter - for the latter, he's where he belongs and I'm glad!
One of the recruiting stations is a place where I've taken cupcakes for the troops; the other one is next door to my favorite Italian restaurant - I was planning to take some things to the guys there soon. Please keep their loved ones in prayer. 2016 can't come soon enough!
I hit a new record today - a third pair of never-worn shoes hit the trash - I put then on as I prepared to go out, and found bits of rubber sole all over the house; these were Naturalizers; the entire bottoms disintegrated. People scream about "being green." Yeah, well...make stuff that will last and not fill up dumpsters!
Can you tell i'm in a foul mood? I'm so sick of this world; can't wait for the Lord to come and set things right!

Holy Mother of God Arlene - what the heck is going on with your shoes? I'm not being funny, I am being sincere, when I say, I am going to say a prayer for you.
