I went on and ordered something that had $5 shipping; when I ordered it before it was $7.89 for shipping. I think $5 is still too much for beauty product, but it is acknowledgment from QVC that they are losing customers with their high shipping costs.

Am very surprised it hasn't been promoted more. They are jacking up prices on some things to cover their loss on the lower shipping.....which is still much more than many sites.

I haven't noticed, but then I haven't been purchasing much from the Q lately. They have to compete with so many other websites that offer free shipping, so it's about time they caught up with the times...sort of. I think it would be nice if they offered free shipping on orders of, say, $50+.

This S&H price reduction ends 3/31/14, and not on everything. Last night when Algenist product was presented, the S&H was more than $7.

I think they're reading our posts. I also notice that quite a few items are offered on free S&H. This is a test to see how many of us notice the S&H pricing reduction and how many of us will spend more during this short period. I think the Q is going to make a killing by the end of this "testing" period. Hopefully when it is done, they'll go back to the drawing board and see about keep offering this kind of "deal" to their loyal customers...... e.g., who have been shoppping with them fairly regularly more than ...... oh..... 6 months........? Hoping. Wishing. Praying. lol

I recently was asked to complete a survey about QVC's shipping and handling charges.

Maybe they will rethink some of their policies.

They are still making money, even with the reduced prices. I do like these rates, though. They really ought to get in line with HSN, which offers terrific shipping values from time to time (those all-day shopping for $9.95 days).

Usually when they do that, it says "reduced shipping" and they promote it. I haven't heard anything about it on TV (though I rarely watch) or through emails or online. It's almost unheard of for someone to run a limited promotion and not tell anyone about it as often as possible.
