Hi Everyone!
Twinny70---What a head spinning situation with the cemetery lots. It reminded me that we never purchased ours. We weren't sure which state we would be living in at that point. Now we are and it completely slipped my mind. Our son informed us that he wants to be cremated. I'm not sure how many plots to purchase. I don't even want to think about the costs. Good luck with sorthing thru it all.
It's partly cloudy, muggy and thunderstorms in the forecast for today. Not my kind of weather but it will be good for the gardens. So far, the tomato plants are perking up. The other plants in the front porch garden are looking sad with the bunnies treating it like a buffet.
This morning we saw a new fawn. She was running after "Mommy" from our yard into the woods. I love seeing the fawns. Something so peaceful about it.
I did watch part of the morning show with Mary. I enjoy her. I told myself no more clothes regardless of the sale price. ha ha!!! That worked for the am. I'll have to come up with something different for tomorrow. I did watch Shoe Shopping with Jane last night and she mentioned that they are doing a "live" show from her home and closet on Thursday. I don't know the time.
I am picking prescriptions up today because I'm out of my pills. I hardly ever get in this situation but my issues are just not cooperating with this weather. Our DIL and her Mom are ill with some resporatory illness. They had their covid shots in January so that's been ruled out. The doctor are not sure what they have. No fever. Hope she feels better soon.
Have a good afternoon/evening.

Fressa, it's an interesting experience buying our cemetery lots and a marker. I did talk to the guy this morning that takes care of the other cemetery that's across the street from my family's cemetery. He said we need two lots there vs three lots in the other cemetery. It costs nothing for the cement slab to put our bench on vs $350 for the slab at the other cemetery. He gave me the phone number to call tomorrow to answer a few questions. When my bf bought 8 lots in her hometown very recently, they were $500 each & she paid for them all at once She has to find a stone/marker though as they aren't going to buried in the 4 lots they bought many years ago in a different cemetery. At least we aren't in that situation. You are right that it's expensive, but we want to get the job taken care of asap. How cute to see a new baby fawn. It's hot here too, but we got a bit of a shower last night. We are about 8" short on the rain gauge. My 🍅🍅🍅 plants seem to be doing well. I am hoping that the squirrels don't try to eat them. I have a rx to pick up tomorrow from Wal-Mart. Last time I could just get a 30 days supply for $43 & they told me next time to call the pharmacy number and dial zero to speak to a pharmacist. He told me this morning that it's $159 for 90 days and $43 for 30 days. Nuts for sure so I am back to the 30 days supply. I feel your pain. All of my other rx's are 90 day mail order & I get them in 3-4 days. I will watch shoe shopping with Jane. Thanks for mentioning it. It should be a fun show.
It was nice in the hot tub before lunch. It's too hot for me to do my walk so we are heading to the gym.
Hugs to all of you.
Glenda

Hi Everyone! (part 2)
I forgot to mention it but I had an on line banking error yesterday. I always double check to make sure the payments processed. Yesterday, they were listed as "pending" and by last night as "failed". Of course, I sent an email to the bank for them to check the confusion. I received some generic statement and then another saying there wasn't any $ in the account. After the 57 minute phone wait I finally talked to a representative who had to make my payment from the main office. Seems like they were doing some type of maintainence during the afternoon and didn't think anything would be effected. I just thought I would mention in for those who use the on line bill pay option.

Good evening ladies, hope all is well.
Bernie - Have you thought about donating the plots. My mom has two plots she is not going to use so it is going to be my job to find out about it. We thought about donating the plots so it someone dies, and does not have family to bury them a plot would be available to them. Of course I want to make sure no one can line their pockets with it. I need to ask a lawyer friend of ours if it is a good idea and how to go about it. Wish me luck. Good luck with your decision.

Good Afternoon/Evening and thanks for getting us started Fressa. Sorry about your weather. Hope you were able to get your prescription, and your DIL and her mother recover soon.
I'm sure you aren't enjoying that weather, Glenda. Hope your gym visit went well. My head hurts just thinking about your cemetery issues. Sorry about your medication issues -- back and forth, back and forth.
I might be interested to see Jane's closet, but I am not sure that I will be able to do so since tomorrow I have my grocery store and hospice deliveries, etc.
It wasn't too hot on my walk this morning, but it has certainly heated up with a high of 101 degrees predicted. They have issued an excessive heat warning starting on Sunday -- high of 108 degrees predicted on Sunday, and the very hot weather is supposed to last through next Wednesday. So glad my AC is working.
I had my last OLLI meditation class this morning -- very good, and then I had my hair cut. The stylist said that if I was fully vaccinated (which I am), I didn't need to wear a mask since she is too. There were no other customers in the salon when I was there, so I felt quite safe. I had more cut off this time since my hair was getting a little out of control. Right now, it looks great.
Due to our intense heat, I put a cooler in my car when I go grocery shopping, but the one I had for many years from here was starting to rip a little. I ordered a new one from Amazon which came today. Hope it works well.
I am feeling sad since another lady I worked with passed away -- only 53 years old. She and her twin both worked in my office, and they were very nice. Her twin died earlier this year from cancer. Not sure what Amy died from, but it certainly reinforces the need to enjoy the time I have on this earth.
Waves to all of our posters and readers. Hope everyone has a nice evening and sleeps well.
Hugs,
Linda
ETA -- Hi Susan. Good luck with your donation idea. Sounds good to me, but wise to check it out with a lawyer.

Hello all, we finally got some rain late yesterday afternoon/early evening. Too bad it didn't take the humidity with it. I swear it was worse outside today even though the weather guy said it wasn't as hot.
Linda, I don't know alot about twins other than what I've read or seen on TV about some being especially close through life - you know, like sensing when the other was in trouble or not feeling well. So sad that your friend died so young.
