SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (SATURDAY, AUGUST 21)

Hi Everyone!

I can't believe we are midway thru  August...Today is sunny and okay with the sun and humidity...for now. I hope to weed today. Fingers crossed on that one.

Yesterday I installed the large set of Pop-Its. I had hoped to used them in the bathroom vanities but the one had a pipe in the way. I thought I might be able to angle it in but that didn't work so I just installed that one in the kitchen sink cabinet. The smaller ones arrived late yesterday which I hope will fit the side cabinets in the bathrooms. I measured but one is on an angle and they both have those oversized hinges. I'm sure I can find a space for them. The goal was to eliminate most of the common spaces where I'm bending down daily or having to get on the floor to pull out the lower shelf in the sink, etc.

I did watch half of AMStyle this morning. Stan Herman was on so I lost my mind with ordering his jogger set. That had my name all over it. I splurged and ordered 3 sets. The colors were selling so fast that I figured as long as I have one to put on then I'm good. I had two of his his poly fleece outfits from last year and I wear them all the time. They don't make you overly warm. Perfect for me. I figure the dogs won't care what color I had on as long as I had chow or a treat. LOL

I noticed the $40 credit if you open a Q card. That caught my eye. Has anyone used a card from HSH or QVC? I wondered if the statements were easy to read?

Have a good afternoon/evening and stay safe from these storms.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (SATURDAY, AUGUST 21)

Good Morning/Afternoon and thanks for getting us started, Fressa.  Good luck with the weeding.  I have been trying to do a little bit of weeding almost every morning, but after all that rain there are lots and lots of weeds.  They are predicting a high of 96 degrees today, and even hotter tomorrow and Monday.  At least it was okay (not too hot) on my walk today.

Glad you are finding uses for the Pop-its.  I know what you mean about the bending down to get things.

It is funny, but I had seen the Stan Herman set on Facebook and thought of you.  They sound like winners for you, and I'm glad you got them.  They looked nice, but probably not that practical for my area.  I'm patting myself on the back for finding more clothing to donate, and even a couple of pairs of shoes that are in great shape.  Still way too many clothes in my closet, but I am working on it.

I saw a little of AM Style, and really liked IM's velour cardigan.  Hoping to be strong and resist, but not sure that will happen.  Definitely not a need.

Years ago, I had a Q card.  I don't remember about the statements, but I do remember one time when I thought I had paid off easy pays early, but had not done so.  As I remember it, you could pay off the full amount and not pay interest, which is usually my practice.  But, I gave up the card since I already had others that gave me "points" which I could convert to cash for each purchase.  My memory is fuzzy, but I think you did not get that with the Q card.

Very quiet here.  I did a little cooking and I am doing the laundry and weekly financial review later.  Thinking about doing a shorter exercise DVD as well.

Waves to all of our posters and readers.  Hope the storms are not bad in your area, and everyone has a nice Saturday.

Hugs,

Linda

Fressa--I do hope you enjoy the Stan Herman outfit. I was looking forward to it until I heard it had a hoodie, so I passed. I'm sure that you will enjoy it.I don't use a Q card; I use one of my rewards cards that is paid in full each month. The only advantage to a Q Card is usually the extended number of easy pays.

I watched most of AM Style and the recording of Josie Maran that preceded it. I am not interested in the TSV but might be interested in another item--a body scrub.

I've been working in the kitchen cleaning an also finding things to go. If I don't remember the last time I used a spice, etc., it went.

Fressa @Fressa   I hope you enjoy your new Stan Herman casual wear.  I've never opened an HSN or QVC card and have no desire to do so, lol.

It's hot and humid here and the mosquitoes are off the hook.

I placed an order with JCP for 3 pair of my favorite lounge around the house pants.  They had a sale and getting tall ladies pants for $15 is a pretty big deal.

These are my uniform at home.  I've been rotating 3 pair that have been washed so many times they are getting threadbare.

LindaLatte---When I saw the Stan Herman set it was like a lightbulb went off. I wear those items all the time. IThey are my favorites. I thought I should just donate the other things that aren't. Honestly, sometimes it just takes a while to finally figure out what you really should keep and what really can be given away.

I did donate a few purses last time and I have a few more of those to go. Shoes will be last now that I have them all in those Peira cubes.

KomKat--I use the Josie M. body scrub and like it very much. You don't have to use alot which works for my sensitive skin and old plumbing. Hope you like it as much as I do if you purchase.
