Bernie--I thought of you when I saw the Oryany TSV presented. That was a great bag. I take it that you managed to rescue the bag before the "professional" hole punched it. I do hope your sister remains committed to her goal of coming home and do what is necessary to achieve that goal.
Arlene--Angelica causes you so many headaches. I know you have mixed feelings but perhaps finding her another home even if it is the Humane Society, etc. is best for both of you. We had great fun in that Nashville mall; glad your shoe purchase worked out well. I'll have to check Amazon for them also. I had looked for some Clarks sandals the other day but they were not available in my size.

The stubborn man punched holes in the strap, however he didn't space them as I asked so I will need to punch another hole in each strap.

Happy weekend everyone!
Jean, I'm glad you get to have a nice restful day today. Thank you for starting the thread. You'll get a lot of use from your shoes if they work well, asI think they're the same ones I have. If so, I'm on my second pair. I liked them that much.
LIndaL., You're lucky you can buy pants online. I can only do so if they're an elastic waist, and I don't have many pairs like that...
Bernie, Glad your sister is now motivated to go home. Hope you have a good weekend.
Genny, Enjoy your easy day! I don't ever feel I need to justify mine. lol DH is always thrilled if I'm just taking it easy.
Spix, Your soup and cornbread sound good. I never think to make cornbread... I don't even know if DH likes it.
snicks, Hope your weekend is a good one whatever you've got planned.
Hello to everyone who posts later on, or reads today.
DH is coming along pretty well. His arm looks a mess, and is swollen in the forearm area. He'll see his doctor Monday morning, and I hope it improves a bit by then. He has no pain in the shoulder now, so that's progress. He's doing very well otherwise, so we're both happy about that.
I feel much more refreshed today after sleeping through the night for the first time in a few weeks. I went to get groceries yesterday, and took the time to stop in the resale store just outside of town. I found a few branches of flowers ( faux) to fill a container for spring summer, along with a neat shadowbox frame with a stack of pots and lavendar inside. So much nicer than I can explain...
This morning I did a lot of shopping at Sam's Club online. I ordered a rug for out on the deck, and was surprised DH loves the one I chose. It's very festive and colorful, and I wasn't sure he'd like it. I also ordered a second one for the kitchen, or possibly another room if it looks out of place there. It's a Persian style, but made from recycled materials. I'll post a photo if it's a keeper, as I haven't had a chance to even feel it, but was so intrigued by it that it was worth a shot.
I took advantage of free shipping on some household products at Sam's as well, and some things decided the shipping is worthwhile to me. I get so tired at times lugging bags of things in from shopping, and causing by back to ache, that the shipping is less and less a factor to me. Paper products, cleaners, detergent and miscellaneous necessities brought a total of 14 or so things coming our way this week. Perishables and some food items will still be purchased in the store, but it's past time to regroup and save my back and energy.
I want to shop for fun things when I go out from now on. It will be a busy week with appointments on two days, so the time will go quickly as we wait for our packages to arrive. There's lots of room in the spare bedroom that can store extras if needed, as my brother and nieces will probably only be here once a year as long as he's so far away.
Looks like supper needs to get started now, so I'll finish my novel! lol Hope you'll all have a good weekend! pinky

Well, good news - Mark (the handyman) said he'll take Angelica if I can also provide a bag of food, as he's strapped right now. He had a sweet dog named Lucille, but she was hit by a car a week or two right now. I saw how much he loved her, and added to the fact that he's a Christian I'm OK with giving Angelica to him - plus he has four little kids to wear her out. I do love her, but have to think of my own mental and physical health as well - when I get stressed, I hurt.
Jean, when I ordered those sneakers from Amazon they were something like $45; I didn't want to pay that much, but they were $60 here on Q, so it was a better deal, and of course no S&H. Well, a couple of days after I ordered them they dropped to about $36, but I called Amazon and they said you can get a price adjustment once for each item. I did send you the link on FB - they come in all colors. I love them!
Thanks for reminding me about the Kindle First book - I got the one about WW II. Last month was the only time I didn't see a single book that appealed to me.
Guess I'd better get a move on - have a blessed day, everyone!

Happy to hear that your husband is getting better, pinky ann. Glad you have found a way to order things and have them delivered rather than lug them home from the store and hurt your back, etc. Do take it as easy as you can.
That is interesting about your sister, Bernie. I hope she is able to go home soon. Strange encounter with your cobbler.
Happy to hear about your car, Arlene. It is so good that Mark can take Angelica. I know she has caused you so much stress, which is not good.
I ran into one of my neighbors on my walk. It turns out that she had a heart attack in February. She needed a triple by-pas. I was very surprised since she is my age (a year older, but....), not at all overweight, and exercises, etc. She didn't have any warning -- in fact, the doctor said she was fine when she had her physical in October. She did have GERD and thought that was the reason for her pain. But, the pain got pretty intense, and she had her husband take her to the hospital where they found she was having a heart attack, and had her sent to another hospital by helicopter. Yikes! She thinks that it was mostly due to stress -- she lost her son a year or two ago (cancer, etc.), and her husband has all sorts of health issues. She is trying to relax now, and I certainly hope she is successful. She said that it is very important to have things checked out if you have weird pains, and I will do so.
I noticed on FB that Kathleen's "sailor" (daughter in the Navy) is home for a visit. I know the family is in seventh heaven. So happy for her.

Some of the worst weather I've ever seen has happened at the beginning of April, lol.
@Bird mama my dd's B-Day is 4/4, when in kindergarten there was a blizzard, school closed, party delayed, so Winter is not done with us
