Birdmama---You're right on Chewy having my buisness for the heartguard for the dogs. Honestly---I don't mind paying for something that is needed but I want the price to be fair. The vet offices raises the prices between $2-$3.50 evey other month. At least that's what I've notices on the bills because I space out the dogs appointments for the budget.
What a feat to replace that dryer belt!!! Worth the 2 hours for the $20 charge. I think the key is to take it slow and jus tkeep pace with the video. Once in a while we get to recoup a few $ from other repair "surprises".
We had the hubby's Subaru in for inspection and regular winter maintenace. It wasn't too bad. ($234) Then the guy said that he needed 4 tires!!! (cost $1024.00!!!) Are you kidding me? I had given him our limit of $300 so he said "no". Then he tells me that he thinks he'll need shocks. I guess I'll be starting a piggy bank for those. In the meantime he went to the local tire shop this morning and we got the same timres for $300 less. Makes your jow drop.
