SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (MONDAY, MAY 14)

Good morning, shopping friends. It is a beautiful sunny day. I do like the TSV and am debating it in white. If there had been a khaki color there would have been no debating, I also like the coral I have a hunch the sleeves willl be too long. I have ordered IM clothes before on the "click here" measurements and have had to return them.

I really need to trim the shrubbery but I am having problems getting motivated. Since I work the next three days, it is my doing the job today or wait....and wait. I would really love to have a small condo with no lawn care, etc. but that is not an option here unless I move to the city and get a regular apartment.  Huge lawns with  a lot of shrubbery can be beautiful but difficult to main, more so the older you get.

Bernie tempted me with some Bob Mackie clearance items and I found some I really liked. They went as far as going into the cart but stopped there. I've ordered too much this month. I just checked my order status and see that the small Kipling crossbody bag is in Ohio., The Kipling bag I first ordered the day before the smaller one is still sitting in North Carolina with no  movement.

Have a great day. If you shop, shop wisely.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (MONDAY, MAY 14)

Hello Ladies, thanks for starting Jean....I like the jean jacket too  Jean but I wish it were an in ch/two longer...it is really too cropped for me so I will not be getting it. MAybe during the day there will be something on That will catch my eye.  I never have a problem  with his clothes..

It is another cool, chilly, rainy day here and according to our local weather we aren't going to see the sun and warmer weather till after next weekend.....it has only been in the low 50's past few days.

Not much doing today....I will be just doing house stuff....ugh.      Have a nice day everyone.       Marijane

Marijane--I might have tried the IM jacket if it had not been cropped. The more I see it presented, the less I want to order it. I am sorry that you are having such bad weather. I wish I could send ours up your way. The high is predicted to be around 90 again. Chance of rain tomorrow.

I got in 30 minutes of walking this morning. I am watching Bosch right now, so I will do a online review of presentations.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (MONDAY, MAY 14)

Hi Jean and Marijane, so far.  I think I'll pass on the TSV, as I already have too many sweaters and jackets for our mostly warm climate.  I barely wear the things I have.  Jean - I can understand about it getting tough to maintain a yard.  My 88 year old mother has a gardener, but she'll still go out in the yard to do misc. things, and she has a big yard.

On Friday my DD spent the day with me as kind-of a mother's day gift.  We took a load to recycling which earned us $21.  Then we went to 3 thrift stores and I bought some books.  A couple of them (cozy mysteries)  ended up being duplicate books, so they went right back into the donate pile, lol.  My DD had a couple of errands to run also, but it was a nice day.

Yesterday we spent the day at my mother's house.  We kept things easy and ate KFC.  Nice not having to cook or wash dishes (ate off paper plates).  But the end of the day, oh my.  Last night my DD was leaving on her flight to Puerto Rico, with the airport over an hour's drive away.   She had been gone for 35 minutes when we got the call that her car had broken down.  My DH and I jumped in the car and drove to her location.  Her car had started smoking on the freeway so she took an off ramp, but it died mid-way.  She said a firetruck happened  by and pushed her car to the top of the ramp and out of traffic.  By the time we got there a couple of nice CHPs were keeping her company, and AAA was loading up the car.  My DH drove our DD to the airport, while I got a ride back home in the tow truck and paid the operator for the extra distance it had to be towed.  Thankfully my DD made her flight okay.  My DH and I are tired, as it was a late night, and we have a dead car out in the field.  Could have been worse though.  Everybody is safe.  Both of the old cars that my DD has been driving are now inoperable.  So...it looks like my DD might be purchasing a new truck sooner than expected.

Well ladies, I hope I get at least a few things accomplished around the house today.  Hope you all have a pleasant day!  ~  Charlene

Good Morning Jean @KonaKat

Good luck deciding on the TSV.  I think I ordered the last Mackie embroidered denim jacket in my size yesterday so I hope they are able to fulfill the order and I don't receive a stinker, lol.

It's overcast here by me and the grass remains sopping wet from all the rain we got so there will be no yard work for me today.  I don't keep a cluttered basement however there probably a couple of small boxes I could go through and purge in the 'furnace room'.

My TSV sunglasses are on the move (back to QVC).  I think they are in Indiana which strikes me as the wrong direction however we all know shipments and returns often take indirect flights to get to their destination.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (MONDAY, MAY 14)

Good morning...it is an overcast day here in tye land of 100000 lakes. I am most unmotivated also, Jean. I need to get flowers for my planter boxes. It is still pretty cool here at night so I can wait for another week.

i am on no shopping except for essentials....I cleaned out my overflowing closets and still have way too much. Lol...

jean..you did a fAntastic job on your flight to Australia...I am fortunate that I have taught myself to sleep on planes...a cozy blanket, neck pillows eye covers and headphones keep things pretty quiet.

Sydnie has been doing very well in her dance competitions...she works with a professional choreographer once in a while.

our 50 th anniversary is next month..the kids are doing the celebration for us. It will be a casual barbecue at a big park.

I read daily, so keep track of everyone..

have a a great day.

Hi Marijane @Genny1  I think the TSV is priced nicely, however at 5'10 that jacket would be way too short for me.  I'm stuck in the house too because of weather.

Charlene @cerb  Car woes are a PITA.  Your daughter was so smart to take the ramp and get off of the freeway.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (MONDAY, MAY 14)

Jean, like jean jacket's, but have 3 of them.  Not a need for sure.  Our lawn here is smaller than where we lived with our 2 dc.  I don't do anything outside except hang laundry, but  lawn mowing is easy for my DH.

Marijane, it is mild, but we are getting thunderstorms this morning as well as last night & maybe tomorrow.

CERB, I am glad that you had a nice time with your dd.  Too bad about her car, but glad that she made her flight.

We had a nice lunch out yesterday after church services.

I finished painting my bathroom this morning.  Yippee.  It looks nice, but I am unsure of the color.  Since I am color blind, it looks like a light silver/blue & it was supposed to be a light taupe.

We are hot tubbing before lunch and then heading to the Capitol City.  I am going to the place where I ordered my new sink & cabinet. I need to buy 2 knobs & 2 handles.

I called the vinyl company, contractor & plumber this morning. Hopefully everything will be done by the the our niece and her family come for a few nights two weeks from tomorrow.  If I just have my toilet & floor in that will be great.

We are taking at least our 2 youngest dgc for  dinner tonight.. It is either leftovers or crock pot night & they are not crazy about it.  The children will eat anything, but this is their least favorite meal.  Our dd has taekwondo right over their normal dinner time.

It will be nice going to our grandson's band concert tonight & staying overnight. We plan to do a little shopping tomorrow before we come back home.

Hugs to all of you.
