SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (MON. JAN 25)

Hi Everyone!

It's bitter cold and we had snow. Forecast predicts more the same for the next 10 days. YIPPEE!!!  I can breathe and the dogs love playing in the snow. We can all do without the ice. It's cloudy today.

I used all the storage cubes on my closet project. I have to order a set for the hubby's closet. I still have to do something about the shoes but that  problem will be resolved once I continue the spare room project One project always seems to lead to another in this house. I keep telling myself that it will be nice when's it's all done. I'm attempting a bit of decluttering and finding donations in the middle of it. I'm  finding this approach a bit easier.

I hope to grocery shop tomorrow. Today is laundry. ( I have a few lines in my basement for line drying, as well) I have some banking on my list for this week and lots of cleaning. Of course, that's the usual list. We'll see if the weather cooperates.

The Christmas dishes are finally stored and the  everyday dishes are in the kitchen. I did sort thru what I had in the kitchenette and decluttered that supply for donations.

The dogs had me up super early today so I got an early start on the laundry and an extra cup of coffee in me. I did watch the Fashion and the repeat of Caroln's kitchen program. It's the background noise while I'm switching loads and the dog snooze.

Have a good afternoon/evening.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (MON. JAN 25)

Good Morning/Afternoon and thanks for getting us started, Fressa.  Glad you are happy with your weather.  We are in the midst of a very unusual "winter weather advisory" here.  We have cool temperatures (highs only in the low 40's) with rain, and snow is a possibility for tomorrow. Wow!  We had three "snow days" in 2019, but only had measurable snow on the streets for one.

Sounds like you are doing a wonderful organizing/de-cluttering job.  And, you are right -- one project leads to another.  Hope you are able to do your grocery shopping tomorrow.

My SIL is still in the hospital, and DD (who is not allowed to visit) has a way to see what is happening with him on the computer.  She said taking the medical billing and coding class has been a big help understanding some of the terms that they use.  Certain really horrible possibilities have been ruled out, but he is still having breathing issues, etc., and they have confirmed that the has pneumonia.  DD, DGD, and DGS are all coughing like crazy, but they are doing better.

My Wal Mart pick-up yesterday went okay despite the fact that it was rainy, windy, and only 38 degrees.  Yikes.  I was surprised how crowded the pick-up area was -- probably because more and more people are learning how nice the service is.

My OLLI class this morning (American Revolution Part II) was good.  I have not watched the Q much, but nothing has been calling my name, which is a good thing.

I know Jean is subbing today, and I hope she doesn't get too tired.

Waves to all of our posters and readers.  Hope everyone has a nice evening and sleeps well.

Hugs,

Linda

[ Edited ]

Fressa, it's cold here too which I am not complaining about.  It's 🌞🌞🌞, but we have snow on the way starting this aftrrnoon.    3" I think.   They were saying 6-8".  You seem to be getting good use from the cubes.  Decluttering a bit at a time is a good idea.  Yes, one project leads to another one.

BIrd Mama, I think that you are getting our snow, but not as much as we got.

I am having a lazy day.  It  was nice in the hot tub.

Supper is beef stew in the oven & now we are heading to the gym.

Tomorrow. I have early morning labs and Dr. 6 month checkups.  I have two sore arms  so I am hoping to find out what is wrong.  Tennis Elbow in my left arm,  so I am not looking forward to getting a cortisone shot in it.

Hugs to all of you.

Glenda

P.S.  I forgot to tell you that our other dgs is 18 years old today.  At least he got his birthday card and $$ yesterday.

Linda @LindaLatte  I'm glad they ruled out the awful things for your SIL.  It's certainly cold in your part of the country.

The kids are growing up so fast Glenda @twinny70   Ouch to the cortisone shot in your elbow, I can't imagine.

Fressa @Fressa   I love reading about your dogs.  It's been many years since a dog lived with me (2008).  Right now I am in the bird phase of my life and even though the first two birds arrived in 2005 when Max was alive, he was here first and they grew up with him.  The birds I live with now have never seen a dog (at least 2 of them haven't, Finley I don't know, she was 3 when she landed on the patio).  I'd be afraid a dog would give them a heart attack.
