It snowed a bit more (probably another inch or two) overnight so I shoveled again this morning. The skies are cloudy but at least it's bright outside from the snow. So glad I am not dealing with ice.

@Bird mama It's funny you would say that about the sky. We don't get many tornados around here, but I remember when I was a kid near here, I was outside with my mother when the sky turned a strange greenish yellow. We went inside the house, and there was a tornado, but luckily no twister came near us. There were no alert systems back then in the suburbs.

Yea it's the strangest color @2blonde I've never been able to describe it in terms of percentages of green and yellow. For me, it's almost something you feel when you see it.
The first time I saw that color in the sky I was really little. I looked up at the sky and asked my Ma what was wrong with the sky. It's like everything became still, you didn't hear kids playing, dogs barking, birds chirping - almost like being in a vacuum. My Ma didn't freak out; she just quietly said that the sky looked that way before a tornado. I asked if Detroit (where I grew up) ever had a tornado and she said not in her lifetime.
My Ma had a knack for answering the tough questions without causing a panic. She gathered me and my two sisters and took us into the basement and made an adventure/game out of it.

@Bird mama It sounds like your mom was a pretty cool lady!

We might get a dusting of snow overnight and then maybe 4" -6" on Saturday night and hopefully ending on Sunday morning. I have seen the yellow/green a few times and I am glad that we have always had a basement to run down to. Our town had a major tornado on Palm Sunday in 1965. It wiped out a lot of the business section of town.
We went to the Wellness Center at 9:00 this morning and then we watched TPIR. Then we went for groceries and a light lunch out. The hot tub has been so wonderful.
We are getting ready to head to the Capitol City & then we are meeting our dsil, Emily and Christopher at the Pizza Ranch for supper. Drew has a fever and staying home. I need to stay healthy for my infusion on Monday.
CERB. My prayers are coming your way that you all can stay healthy & that your dh's surgery goes well.
Hugs to all of you.

Hi Everyone!
I keep forgetting to mention this but I thought it might be helpful for those in snow areas.
We're DIY homeowners so we watch a ton of those videios. The other week we saw one where this man used his leaf blower to blow off the snow on his driveway, porch, etc. Note: it was that light fluffy snow that you can sweep with a broom.
My husband thought this was a great idea. He use my SunJoe battery leaf blower and it worked fine. Next he used his gas blower for the driveway and it really did work.
I never heard of this but thought this is easier than sweeping or etc. and so quick. Hope it saves some time and energy for someone.
