Re: SHOPAHOLIC FRIENDS ODAT Thursday!

HI girls,

It's another hot, sunny day, but it got off to a lousy start. I was lying in bed, trying to wake up, when I felt something warm on me...Whisper decided he didn't want to wait for me to get up and feed him, so  he peed on me.  Cat Mad  So, I started my day by having to get up quickly, strip the bed and do laundry; thank goodness I have that waterproof mattress pad. He gets away with a lot - he had a rough start to life and turned up one day half starved, emaciated, covered in poop, and with his tail so matted I couldn't cut through it (looked like some creature who should only rot put duct tape or something around it) and I've spoiled him rotten - he demands treats all the time, and will go through an entire bag if I let him - but enough is enough. He's a sweet boy, and very affectionate, but he's now permanently banned from the bedroom.

Jean, my Sam's membership expired last month; I had gotten it from Groupon, as it was $45 for the premium membership (usually $100) where you get $10 back for every $500 spent, and it came with a $25 gift card, and coupons for some free items, so it basically was free. The local Sam's is rather dim, but it's clean and neat and they have the cutest clothes!  OTOH, the fairly new Costco is light and bright...but the selection can't compare to the Costco in Kona and they have very little adult clothing, just kids' stuff, which I couldn't care less about. My friend has a Sam's membership, so if I need to do any shopping I can borrow her card; if I see another Groupon deal I'll get it, but as I recall, you had to have not been a member for at least a year to get that offer.

I finally made it to the PO yesterday, then took Autumn for a swim. She had a ball, and found a little boy to play with. She's crazy about kids - she must have had some in her last home. I took her to Sweet Frog for some peanut butter frozen yogurt, which she loves, and got a few different flavors for me - a big cup of frozen yogurt was my lunch.  i only got Autumn a little (it's not cheap!), and  as the cashier started to stick spoons in the cups, i told her I only needed one, as one cup was for my dog, so she asked me which one was for the dog.  Duh!  We came home, picked up Angelica, and we went to Publix - I just needed a few things from there.

Charlene, I have some beautiful, unique fabrics that I got in Hawaii; I really should get out my sewing machine one of these days.  Maybe after the semester ends next week...

Sorry you had a bad night, LindaL; hope your day goes better.

I guess I'll have some lunch, then hit the pool before I get started on homework.  One more week!  Cat LOL

Hi to everyone - have a blessed day!

Hi all, sorry I'm late, lol.

Last day of work before a long holiday weekend.  Also, I've been working on some eulogy notes for a funeral service on Saturday.

Re: SHOPAHOLIC FRIENDS ODAT Thursday!

I forgot to mention (I think) that I recently ordered the following items by Hal Rubenstein from HSN, received, and they are keepers. Very pretty and good quality.

and matching jacket:

The jacket was at a higher price when I ordered it, but noticed today they have it marked for clearance, I live chatted with them and they will issue me back the difference of $20.84 on my card. Simple procedure to get this done.
