So, why do you care what SG does? Don't like it? Don't buy it. There is a world of clothing out there to suit anybody.

It's 2014, you haven't had to HUNT for sales IN YEARS! Once you sign up on the above mentioned websites and/or Facebook pages your automatically notified in you email when there is a sale. In addition, in this day and age many times there are VIDEOS of a person modeling the garment. I do 90% of my shopping in the stores but the rest is done online and I'm perfectly capable of "reading" the description & specs on the merchandise along with looking at pictures and I can tell if it's something that looks good on me. I wear a size 8 and I'm 5'5" tall, I wear small or xsmall sweaters, and tops so I never have a problem with fit. As a matter of fact I have sent more things back to qvc due to: poor fit and poor quality then anywhere else. Oh and as far as finding shoes cheaper, with no S&H charges there are plenty of websites. All you have to do is GOOGLE "once" the brand and name of the shoe and all the websites that carry them will appear with the price. Of course if your buying the disastrous GILI line the your only going to get it on qvc. I buy named brand high quality shoes that QVC doesn't carry.I just want to point out a couple of things: a lot of people don't have the time, energy, or inclination to go traipsing all over town to find the "upscale" fashions referred to here, and if you do find them, and they are cheaper, then you can't find your size. I'm average to small in size, a size 10 in jeans, a Small in tops usually, but I feel for ladies who are larger sized, because so many of the "high end" fashions are not made for them. I for one like to see the fashions on a person, rather than just a still picture on a computer screen. If there are places online where I can see a person modeling these "upscale" fashions and when I have a question about a particular design feature, someone is there telling me about it, <em>PLEASE tell me where these websites are</em>. There are a lot of well-made clothes on QVC - you just have to be particular about what you buy. I used to sew everything I wore, from jackets to dresses to pants, blouses, etc. and I was very good at it. So I know what makes a well-made garment....and I've seen some things in stores at 3 times the price of something on QVC and the QVC item was better constructed and better fabric.
Spending hours searching the internet for sales on "high end" items is not in my list of priorities either. Who here considers this matronly or "old lady"....?
Or this...
Or this...
These are all available on QVC and, yes, a lot of times they can be found cheaper, but every time I find one I really like, <em>do they have WIDE widths available</em> - NO. And <em>going into an actual store and finding wide widths is like searching for the holy grail!</em>
So those of you who want to spend your time searching for the "high end true style and fashion" sales, and if you're lucky enough to be average size and can find what you want in your size, more power to you. Enjoy! Meanwhile, I guess some of us "old ladies" will just have to suffer and continue to look absolutely fabulous in our QVC fashions!!
WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU SO MAD ABOUT???
I was simply stating my OPINION about some of the reasons I do shop FROM TIME TO TIME on QVC - I did not say I buy all or even most of my clothes or anything else from QVC. And I can read as well - however, reading a description or seeing a still picture is not the same as seeing something modeled on a person. THAT IS MY PREFERENCE - I NEVER SAID IT HAD TO BE YOURS! And I was not criticizing you for your choices!
And apparently you are lucky enough to be a small size so you can find all kinds of things that fit you. I'm fairly small too, so I can pick and choose, except in shoes, and I do need a wide most of the time - WHICH IS VERY LIMITED BOTH ONLINE AND IN B&M STORES AND ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT MORE FASHION COLORS. There are many ladies out there who happen to be larger, and I guarantee you that they would not be able to buy all of the same things you buy IN THEIR SIZE, because A LOT OF CLOTHING MANUFACTURERS DO NOT MAKE THE SAME THINGS IN LARGER SIZES. So, as I said, if you're lucky enough to be average size and can find what you want in your size, more power to you. Enjoy!
I thought we were all grownups here and could express our opinions and preferences without causing anyone to get so defensive. I'm tired of people getting so bent out of shape on these boards and getting all up on their high horse because someone thinks differently than they do. Frankly, I don't give a you-know-what how you shop, where you shop, what you buy, or what you pay for it. How's that for stating an opinion?
I hope you have a wonderful day!

I wouldn't call Susan's collection "old lady", but I'm totally out of luck with Susan for the past couple of years. All her prints are way too much for me, and I am not happy with liquid knit. I have a long sweater & pants of hers that I love, the "cashmoozie." I wear that a lot in fall and winter. No print, just a tunic sweater with a two-way zipper and really really love it, and it looks good. Always looking for her to roll back to the "before" print days, but I think the Q has her doing all these prints. She's supposed to be doing a line of active wear, but I'm just waiting. Wouldn't be surprised if she brought that with prints!

I wish Susan Graver would use some regular cotton fabrics rather than all this liquid knit and butter knit. She also has too many florals for my taste.
I agree!! I just purchased a few of her tops in solid colors & a few jacket/cardigans and that liquid knit felt awful! I happened to receive it just the other day when the weather was sauna like humid and even in the AC trying those tops on I felt like I was melting! Plus they just weren't as soft as she keeps claiming. They reminded me of the yucky double knit polyester that was so popular in the 70s. Unfortunately back they all go!
I like the color saturation on some of her tops I just wish she would make some in a few breathable cotton blends!!

I dislike printed clothing so avoid all of it, no matter who the designer is.
I think Susan Graver designs for women who like colorful, printed, easy care clothing but I don't fall into that demographic. I stopped watching her years ago because I don't think sophisticated, natural fabric clothing is her forte. However, she fits a niche on QVC and clearly there are many women who really enjoy her clothing. For that reason, I highly doubt she is going to make a lot of natural fabric clothing.

The Tide or thong style with embellishments such as the Eve or the Julie. I buy them because I have a small tear in my hip socket, from working out in the gym, and regular flat sandals with no support are causing hip pain. So I'm not contradicting myself at all. I do have gorgeous summer shoes that I wear from Kate Spade, Nordstrom & Lord & Taylor . If you take a look at some of Orthaheels sandals, you can't even tell that they are orthotics and many of them are really cute. Are they what I would select if I didn't have a medical reason for doing so? Absolutely not! But I do have a medical reason and I'm really thrilled that they exist and I can still wear sandals that look normal & cute.On 7/13/2014 Beejene said:If you want great fabric & stylish clothing, your not going to find them on QVC. Sign up on Neiman Marcus Last Call, Lord & Taylor, Kate Spade & Nordstroms. There you will find "true style and fashion" that are high end, beautiful fabric and quality. When they have sales they are amazing. I recently bought a sleeveless black & white color block dress from Lord & Taylor that sold for $250 but they were having sales and I got it for $59. I have purchased numerous $500 Kate Spade dress for $120. Not to mention the numerous GORGEOUS Kate Spade handbags & wallets I get (when they are having one of their sales) for significantly less then what QVC charges for lesser quality merchandise. In addition, I have also purchased amazing things from Neiman Marcus Last Call for $49. Sign up on the websites and their Facebook pages. You pay more money for low end apparel at QVC (not to mention the ridiculous S&H) then you would in the high end stores where your getting the finest quality merchandise. I only use QVC's fashions to supplement what I purchase from the high end stores. Some of QVC's lines i.e. LCNY, Isaac, Linea & Denim & Co have some great things to bring on vacation when going to the beach, for use when I work out and to wear with a pair of jeans when I want to be super casual. I buy my Orthaheels from QVC but never anything else when it comes to footwear or handbags. The majority of QVC's footwear is frumpy, in my opinion. Nothing I would care to wear plus you can get most of them $40 cheaper (with no shipping or tax) if you shop on shoe buy.com, online shoes.com and several others.
Your statement seems a bit contradicting in regards to the apparel at QVC. As far as I am concerned, nothing could be more frumpy than Orthaheels with the velcro. The SG line of clothing is either hit or miss in my opinion.
I love my Orthaheels and my latest pair were these in all black...I think they are cute and...oh well they happen to have some Velcro but I don't think they are any less cute than the other shoes shown in the post above

I would like to see pants with a Velcro fly..............

This makes no sense to me. Why do you "really want to try" something you don't like?
