There is a difference.  Joan Rivers is called "Classics" and I agree it is...and more all American, less dressy than Linea.  Probably, appeals to more buyers.

Both Louis and Joan (David) used the same manufacturer.  Since that manufacturer retired when Louis left, who is David using now?

I like Joan's cotton shirts, but the fabric is too thin, so I don't buy them.

I thought I read he was just stepping away from presenting but would still be designing the line.

Am I mistaken?

IMO, Joan wouldn't wear most of the items they are presenting now under her name.  They should remove her name from that line and call it something else.

@Peggy  Yes,you are mistaken. QVC told Louis he was done at QVC. He announced it on his blog.

@walkingal I so agree with you.  Have seen Joan items that....no way would she even walk the dog in.

David takes such liberty with her name and what he wants to sell.  Dangle should have left long ago - - but guess the daughter gets a percentage.

Round and round.........it goes.

Every once in a while I'll see something that vaguely resembles something Joan Rivers MIGHT have worn.

David Dangle certainly is not providing customers with items "designed" (using that term loosely) to fit the labels' name. It has become an ordinary line much like Denim and Co., which Joan Rivers never intended it to be.

I formerly loved JR cotton blouses and man-like shirts, but no longer buy them due to the flimsy fabrics used in recent years. Quality is not there anymore and prices have skyrocketed.

Money screams; wealth whispers.

How do you know that.

I am very disappointed in reading this. Of all the clothes at QVC, Linea has been my favorite. Even when I did not purchase what was offered because the items did not fit my lifestyle, I enjoyed the presentations and the look of the items.

Linea made my  favorite slacks and crop pants. I have maxi dresses that are just classics. Even his t shirts are classic. I am really bummed right now.

If Isaac actually went back to designing rather than performing, perhaps we could have another real designer on QVC.

I liked many of "Joan's" items from years ago.  Not so much now and I do not iron, no cotton for me.  I do have many Linea pieces from past purchases and lately.  I really feel VERY SAD that Louis is leaving.

So Joan Rivers brand remains while a real designer, Linea, gets the ax.  Sorry for all Rivers fans but not a designer... just sayin

I agree.  Louis designs comprehensive lines, with pieces that go with many pieces from his other lines, both recent & older.  A few blouses & odd pants do not a line make.
