So Joan Rivers brand remains while a real designer, Linea, gets the ax.  Sorry for all Rivers fans but not a designer... just sayin

@Mustang Shar

Joan Rivers is the "label" not the designer.  David Dangle is the designer.

From joanrivers dot com ....

As a three-time Emmy Award winning designer, David Dangle has an extensive background in fashion, theatre and television design. Through his background in art direction, David knows the people in the industry who set the trends… the fashion insiders, stylists, designers, magazine editors, photographers and celebrities.

@Mustang Shar sometimes being a “real”designer isn’t  enough.

I buy what I feel will work well in my life and fit well on my body.  I know why his fans like Linea, but I also know why there’s not a single piece of it In my closet.

Haven't seen him in awhile so just wondering if David is "designing" anything besides long sleeved man style shirts?

@Mustang Shar, I don't get it either. Makes no sense. I personally, don't own a single piece of Rivers. No comparison, imo.

@Snicks1 @I own 2 Joan Rivers tops and two Linea tops. I do not see any difference in quality.

David Dangle is no Louis Dell'Olio.  This line does not even meet the name.  Joan Rivers gave us her style, with help.  Now it's like any other line at QVC.  Same stuff.  Yesterday's post about an unidentified blouse felt like Joan Rivers to posters, but was Denim & Co., because it all looks the same.

there may not always be a "famous" designer behind a brand, but there always IS a designer behind a brand. doesnt necessarily make them better or worse than the "famous" one. i have purchased LINEA before many times, i have purchased JR before.......and many other brands from QVC. i mix and match them most of the time.

never would trash one to build the other one up because i know not all brands are for all people or lifestyles. not everyone is going to like linea, not everyone is going to like JR. one evidently sells better than the other OR makes more money for QVC.

Personally, I don't buy either ... not the kind of clothes I wear.

My issue with Joan Rivers is all that cotton.  After 75 years I've hit the wall on ironing.  Convince me her stuff doesn't need it and I'll buy something.  Touch up is OK, complete ironing is a deal breaker.
