@Luvsmyfam So, you can wear something for an entire day and then return it? Is that how the Q get's "as is" merchandise to sell?
Are you unaware of the thirty day return policy? Why would you say such a a stupid thing to her?
NO, I'm not "unaware" of the 30 day return policy. I DIDN'T KNOW IT INCLUDED WEARING SAID PRODUCT AND ENJOYING AND THEN RETURNING IT NO PROBLEM. Get a grip with your rude self @smoochy
How tacky is it to do that? You must do it too.
I don't understand why you are saying it is not right to return an item after you wore it once. I would bet there are many that wear an item once and find it undesirable. How do you think they get "as is" items.. You buy the item knowing it was a return or some other problem. Companies don't want fo loose money by tossing used items if they are in good condition. "As Is" denotes that the seller is selling and the buyer is buying an item in whatever condition it presently exists, and the buyer is accepting the item " with all faults".whether or not immediately apparent. Hope this explanation helps you understand.
Try on is typically the way one SHOULD return a product. Not wear it all day and return it. That makes it a "used" item. The OP reads like she wore it long enough for it to develop pills (as the day went on) to discover she didn't like that it was doing that @elated . That tells me she didn't just "try it on." She wore it for a significant time during the day.
I'm sure she's not the first person, nor will she be the last, but I did ask is that how the Q gets it's "as is" inventory!
Did you read the description of "as is"? What do you think they are sending out new products but labeling them " as is"? I have read where people have received as is with kleenex in the pockets and dog hair on their pants!!! So what do you think is going on? You keep asking the same question and I have answered your concern..If you still are so concerned, call CS and ask them.
@elatedI don't really shop on QVC. I thought I was asking a legitimate question. What I did do though, since all the hoopla about my simple question was type in "As is." The results were numerous from clothing categories. It does say "returns, on air pieces, samples and discontinued items.
I have never ever shopped someplace where you could return used (looking worn) products before. Never. Ever.
You were asking a legitimate question. I never meant to make you think I was trying to be demeaning to you. I even went and looked up " AS IS", so I could give you the proper definition. It was on page 4 where I gave you the information. I am happy that you got what you needed fo confirm the term "as is". I think many are not aware what is really meant when they order. Take care.

Whether it's her sharing stuff about her personal life or posting about shopping. P*sses me off. No I don't lose sleep over it. But as I've said before, the "women are a big supportive sisterhood" is b.s.
I agree because I've noticed the same thing.

Both QVC and HSN have this return policy for all of their products. They state you can use it, wear it, eat it, etc., and if you don't like it you can return it within 30 days. So @Luvsmyfam is doing nothing wrong by returning this sweater after wearing it and thus discovering its flaws.

@KittySoftPaws wrote:Yes I know that and I also know that the shipping bag and the shipping itself was enough to actually create a few pills. It was not worn before it was ordered the night when it was first released.
@KittySoftPawsin all my years of buying acrylic sweaters (and I've had my share of frustrations, the pilling never happened until I laundered it.
Maybe this is a 21st century pilling going on then.......
Well, now, dear, you just stated in the post just before this that it was due to friction which can happen before laundrying. I noticed acrylic fabric content easily pilling all the way back in the 20th century, 1980s - from leaning against the counter, under arms, where a seat belt hits, etc. Found out the hard way.
I worked at a Maurices late 70s through 1980s. Our return policy at the time had no time limit, and the owner told us that he didn't care if a customer returned a lawn mower, we had better take it back.
Yes we did get burned a few times over it, but it was store policy, in the last century.
