No news about R's test.  I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with my college roommate. She's the one who was found unconscious earlier this year in her Maryland apartment. The specialist now feels she had a seizure. Her retirement benefits should start soon. She worked for Social Security since the mid 80's. She's still living with her younger sister but hopes to move to the assisted living place mother was in.

Barbara, I hope it works out for M. Maybe Pepper should be called Houdini. Sorry your joints are not good. I'm glad your infusion is next week.

Linda, that's great news for your two younger grandsons. I'm glad the caregivers group was good.

I just started a load of laundry and had the dogs out. It's sunny today and mild. I switched the remote for the gas fireplace to manual on the daytime and nighttime settings it was not turning off. This morning when I came downstairs it was 82 degrees. As a puppy Griff got hold of it so we lost a key on the keypad and have to use a pen point to change settings. I say we need to replace it. R disagrees.

This morning was choir practice and then a welcome back potluck. My big crockpot of beans was pretty well demolished. Spouses were welcome so I am not cooking dinner..lol

my sil has taken the girls deer hunting this weekend. Not my thing for sure..But he enjoys it. It is going to be on the warm side and that is not conducive to successful hunting.

Syd has a solo in her company tap dance. She is getting lots of special parts . I told her practicing is paying off. 

M is pretty happy about he potential job change. She was told that her current boss was told by the New York office and she may get a counter offer. We shall see. 

Linda..hope your day is going well. Sounds like it will be warm here next week again.

Claudia..you had a nice visit with your friends. Hope r does not wipe himself out this weekend.

Barbara, it's always good when you don't have to worry about fixing dinner. As far as hunting, I root for the deer. That is wonderful news for Sydnie.

This morning it was 31 degrees. R forgot to pack gloves so at one point had to leave his blind and go to the suv to warm up.

I've spent part of the afternoon deciding what vintage dishes to send off to auction. I have a good portion of jadeite packed up plus the Mexicana pattern. Next is the Century Riviera pieces.

Bo and Griff woke me up barking about an hour after I went to sleep. I didn't let them out because I knew they'd be running around the yard barking and I would have to go after them. I knew they didn't need to go out as I put them out for a bit before I go to bed. I quieted them, got upstairs and they started to bark again. It took several trips downstairs before they settled. Bo will bark at the slightest sound and then Griff chimes in.

Good Afternoon/Evening!  Sounds like those beans were a hit yet again, Barbara.  That is great about Syd, and I hope M gets a better job and/or a promotion.  Deer hunting with little girls?   I know I'm old fashioned, but I don't think I'd like my daughter of DGD to go hunting.  Maybe he won't be successful.  Of course, you don't get a say in the matter.  LOL  I think it will be warmer this week, but not really hot.  I'm pretty happy with our weather these days.  It has been pretty chilly on my morning walks.

Sorry the dogs made sleeping a bit difficult, Claudia.  Certainly sounds cold there -- I'd be in the SUV for sure if I were outside.  Also sorry your friend needs to go into assisted living, but I'm sure it is a nice place.

I did get my hair cut yesterday, and I am thinking about having bright pink highlights put in my hair next time.  Libby (one of our former posters) did that, and I thought it looked cute.  My time to be wild. 

DH was fine when I visited him today, and I had lunch with him.  Not really hungry, but I realized that way I could spend more time with him, and not get hungry.  It has been a quiet, but nice day so far.

Go for it, Linda. I think pink highlights would be cute. Having lunch with your DH in order to extend your visit was good planning.

I'm about ready to let the dogs out one last time. I hope for a quieter night.
