I'm sure they are compensated very well.
Yes, and it's not exactly hard labor.
As has been pointed out, lots of people work many hours around the clock in all kinds of fields. I feel much more sorry for people who do physical work outdoors in 100-degree temperatures, or those who work hard in minimum-wage jobs while being treated horribly, or others whose jobs put them in harm's way on a daily basis.
Modeling on TV is not a bad gig, and I'm sure there's a very, very long line of women who would be thrilled to be doing it.

For years I have pictured the Q building having a bunch of very nice hotel rooms for the models, vendors, etc. Of course for the rich vendors, there has to be a limo to and from the posh Philly hotel. I really don't think the models leave the building on those forever fashion days, TSV day, etc. What do you think about what I have imagined?

I agree with you.......i am sure there are many other models ready to jump in their place!!
Yes.......and I have been called at all hours to "sub" for someone who has an emergency call-off

The new nurses around here have to work twelve hour night shifts. Even the ones (students) who are in college, learning to be nurses. They tell me that they have to 'get used to' night shifts, etc. so they will become used to working those shifts when they become nurses.

Just don't call them women of the night.

I'm thinking that some of the models live fairly nearby. Or they stay in QVC studios/building, or in nearby hotels. Has to be one or all of the three guesses.

I don't think it's that posh. They talk about the hosts having lockers, sharing a hosts' lounge, someone mentioned there was a "sleeping room" for the models - not a hotel room for each. There have been times the vendors have been late because of traffic from NYC, so at least the local vendors drive or have a driver. They've talked about the cafeteria and vending machines, so there's not a chef on call.

Absolutely true. I worked graveyard for YEARS.........and since I retired, I am STILL on the "night shift". My sleep pattern has been permanently distorted.

I saw a video that Gabrielle had posted. The model's room didn't appear warm, inviting or remotely comfortable. They actually share this dressing room with support staff that travels with the vendors. I think QVC should do better. Especially since the regular models work "around the clock".
