QVC, I do know how to wear clothes, thank you very much

[ Edited ]

I've always thought QVC hosts overdo telling us that we can put a jacket over a top if it "gets cold in the movie theater or at the office," or that we can wear something alone or with something else, or that we can "mix or match."

I've always thought that these are things any adult already knows.

So I was especially puzzled today to receive an email from QVC with a link to a video showing "handy tips" on how to wear the Susan Graver jacket that was a recent TSV.

The video shows me I can wear a tank plus accesories or I can wear a dress plus accessories (each outfit topped with the jacket).  I'm torn between (1) feeling infantilized and (2) realizing that they do this to sell a customer more stuff.

It's all about $$. That's why l opted out of receiving promotional e-mails from the Q (and other retailers as well). I don't want them to attempt to sell me more stuff l don't need, lol.

Well.... I've always my jackets over my head and mix patterns (never the cool ones) all the time, so I guess it's me they're addressing.....

See, that's the thing.  I am already opted out of receiving promotional email from QVC (and most other retailers).

The only thing I checked as agreeing to receive is shipping updates and the occasional program reminder (that I set periodically).  So why I got this email is a huge mystery.

It's not enough to complain about, but I will if this keeps up.  I wouldn't have actually started a thread about this if I had been expecting this type of email from QVC.

Homegirl-- It's probably your agreeing to the program reminders that made these other unwanted emails kick in. Maybe they're based on the types of programs you like. This shouldn't be-- they're using aggressive sales tactics.
