@Meowingkitty As i said before i change often i wear dresses at night and its April going into memorial day weekend. Which is why i am taking so much Ny has very changeable weather during Late Spring. Thanks for the advice
@Meowingkitty wrote:Don't know where you are staying but I would cut the amount of underwear in half, nix the dresses, sundresses etc (that's just me as I don't wear dresses ever), one or two coverups, rain jacket, wind breaker can go (I live in Arizona so when it rains we are happy and don't wear a rain jacket.). We live in shorts, tees and sandals. No need to dress for restaurants etc. unless that is what you want to do. I would take only what I needed since laundry facilities are available.

This is not just to the OP because I know that isn't what she wants from a previous post, but for travels in general and summer trippers here's a hint!
Wear throw away first part of the trip, buy new for the second half! I would go to Walmart and buy inexpensive undies and throw them away or take ones that need to go to be thrown away. Underware is bulky and not worth dragging around and washing.
ALSO, if you travel by car, take a flattened box, packing tape and a marker pen, too many clothes, and mail some of the worn ones home! We did that for 30 yeas of traveling and it was such a good thing! I insured it well but dang the post office they NEVER lost a box!

@Sooner. I bet postal rates then were just a fraction of what they are now. That could be an expensive way to deal with dirty laundry.

@KKlim We are going to be 50 miles from home and in a totally different location, its going to be 5 months and I like to wear different clothes. How much do you wear in 5 week?

That seems to be a long list of clothes. It looks like you’re going away for a couple months. Didn’t u say this hotel was relatively nearby your house in Westchester NY? Make things easier for yourself. Cut 1/3 off of it.

I always over pack so I say Take what your comfortable with! If you don't wear it so what. If you have to do your own laundry who wants to do it more than a couple of times, not me. Better to be ready for anything you want to do then not prepared.
Don't forget slippers and relax and enjoy!

@KKlim Why do you think its excessive 2 cover ups and 2 swinsuits. I we will be dining out 3 nights per week and I want a variety of clothing. I always over pack I do not want to spend my trip doing laundy but thank you for the imput

To answer your question- I never would wear that much in 5 weeks. A lot of bathing suits, coverups, shorts, bras, etc. You’ll be dressed up every nite w/ all those dress clothes? To go where.. Isn’t it a casual area?
It won’t even be hot here in April- May. Is the pool
Inside? To each their own. Good Luck w/ your packing and mini trip.
