I was in the mall yesterday. Many stores are displaying their winter clothing, but no chili red (or whatever the name is) this year.

It usually spills over to home decor, but I saw no sign of Pantone there either.

Perhaps designers are making their own decisions about color and no longer taking cues from Pantone.

Maybe there is some reinterpretation going on.  Our new Fall 2 collection is being placed on the floor now, and the color is raspberry or plum which is easier to wear.

I've been seeing a lot of natural shades of color. A variety of colors including rusts, golds and shades of olive and pine greens.

With the exception of gold......these are more my colors anyway, so I'm happy you have been seeing these. I haven't been out shopping in the stores yet.

@Shanus. Is chili red supposed to be the new Pantone color of the year?  Haven't heard an annoumcement.

It’s one of their 2019 fall colors; I see it called their leading color for the season but it’s not a “color of the year” like Living Coral is for 2019.

Perhaps that's because Living Coral is Pantone's 2019 color.

I know it's not 2020 yet but I just read where Pantone will feature coastal-inspired colors, blue taking center stage for 2020 color of the year.
