I saw this interesting piece in the WSJ about what people are wearing while entertaining at home. They claim there is a new trend where the host's clothes match the plates. Mmm...
This first look is credited to Hill House Home:
From Tory Burch:
From La DoubleJ, a pineapple motif
My favorite was this from D’Ascoli
I don't entertain much, and won't be wearing any of this, but what do you think?

Wow, how stupid. Maybe it's for someone who does not know what to wear at their own party or over spent their party budget , so they just bought an extra table cloth and made a dress

Why me, Lord, what did we ever do to deserve these displeasures from designers who do not know what to do.

Did they have any ideas for pizza & beer???

The first outfit matching the table cloth and wallpaper is totally ridiculous. You don't wan..t to blend in but rather stand out. I don't like anything about the other photos. Whoever came up with this trick for the host is not in reality.

Or burgers and fries on the grill? Can't imagine wearing a dress when it's 115 outside.

I think it is kind of costumey (if that's a word). Or comes across as trying so very hard.
It's actually kind of weird to me.

I don't want to dress like a napkin or floppy paper plate or how about a glass plate? A lace tablecloth?

Have people really been home entertaining so much that a trend would take off? Especially this trend?
