I don't like sneakers...only wear them if I am doing a power walk. If you have to walk a lot for the job I can see/understand wearing sneakers, otherwise I am a firm no as far as a fashion statement.

I thought trainers were more like a running shoe? I see a few women wear running shoes to commute in, but I'm sure they change shoes at work.

The majority of women I see wearing a type of sneaker is what I do - a slip on casual shoe like Michael Kors, or a lace up Chuckie Taylors. I love wearing them, and to me, they look more current than a traditional dressier shoe. (Of course I don't wear them every day to work with every outfit, but a good percentage of the time, yes.)

Yesterday I wore a pair of white puma trainers with a casual dress - my husband didn't really care for the way it looked. Oh well...

... yes, I own several pairs in different colors ... and wear them practially everywhere except the most dressy occasion. I'll start substituting a variety of boots when the weather changes, but these Vionics are a life saver for me since my TKR and HR surgeries.

I was one of those sneaker wearers on my daily commute when I worked ... that's one of the smartest things women did for themselves. Of course, I had a drawer full of heels to change into once at work.
