@ALRATIBA In this case, I think the model could have invited a friend to join her in that outfit.

Hi @Foxxee I agree that the model you posted is lovely looking. But, I also think that fashion has been evolving to be more inclusive, and that could mean size, shape, color, too. I wonder if fashion is attempting to visually represent more customers to relate to the designs. Thanks for posting.

I would rather not see a lot of elderly people modeling clothes. What's the point? I don't get it.
Personally, I think in most instances older people should step aside and let the younger generation have their day in the sun. That's what being young is all about.
When you are older, you've been there done that, move on and revel in what life has to offer now. Do something different, enjoy friends and family, get out of the rat race, and try to bless someone every day--including yourself.
So I am not going to apologize for what I think. It's just what I think and how I've lived.

Now .... if we could just apply your "thoughts" to other careers as well.
There are a bunch of folks who immediately come to mind who should have been put out to pasture several years ago.

I don't care what age groups are represented. I am not into quotas .
I just would like to see that the models are dressed in clothes that fit them properly. Seeing models wear outfits that are too tight and obviously a size too small , thus showing more than I care to see of their anatomy is what is more important to me as a customer.

So weird used to be all you see is models not over 100 lbs. now, the pendulum has really swung lots are 300 and more. HSN & QVC both.

Yes there should definitely be older models in fashion. Ageism is real, and age discrimination is illegal. Older models, older designers.
What a sad attitude to think that humans should be "put out to pasture". Noboby has to step aside for anyone else.

@Sooner I don't think anyone is suggesting that there should be 'a lot' of elderly models. It's just suggesting representatives of all ages and body types. It would be nice if they had a senior model on occasion.
I also don't think older folks should be sidelined, simply by their age. Many older folks remain very active and concerned about looking their best. And, they're judged as letting themselves go, if they don't.
And, believe me, I haven't figured how to get out of the 'rat race,' yet. As long as you're alive --you're a player in it. Anything that builds confidence in one's appearance, regardless of age, is a bonus.

@Sooner Ageism and stereotypical thinking is alive and well on this thread. I hope you don't treat the older people in your life with the distain shown in your post.
