Re: Marla Ginsberg a/k/a Marla Wynne crossed the line

This seems silly to me.  Marla was joking around.  She always does and that's one of the reasons I tune in.  I would love it if someone told me I would probably blow away in a storm.  I didn't sense any weird reactions coming from Bobbi.

not to mention that marla has been there a number of years now AND bobbi has been with hsn for a very long time......with some major clout i imagine. if she were insulted, upset, or embarrassed by things marla says then i would assume that she would say something to her bosses or stop working with her.  this is one of those "much ado about nothing" observances.

if management or staff doesnt approve of the things said or worn on air i am sure a vendor will hear about it immediately.

i enjoy when marla is on and i am a big fan of her fashion line. she left her once successful job during a downturn in a major industry to pursue another passion and that takes a lot of guts and hard work.

Hi@Sunshine45

I hope you are well.

I heard Marla tell a story that she was an out of work TV producer when she decided to go into fashion design.  She'd produced a number of pilots and none was picked up.

When she first came to HSN her label had a slightly different name.  (I'd go look but  my first purchases were summer items and they are packed away)

Re: Marla Ginsberg a/k/a Marla Wynne crossed the line

She claims she lived in Paris and had something to do with fashion and film. I don't know. Her hair is so strangely bleached and slicked back and she wears humongous black glasses? As a stylist from Europe I am surprised she doesn't take care of herself. I am appalled at the icky bits she says we all have. I don't think she is much over 50. Something is wrong with the clothes. I saw them at the outlet stores and the materials are skimpy polyesters. Everything is a massive tent/poncho. There are a few tanks and stretch pants. For a designer who's been in business designing for only about 5 years and started out of her basement I find it appalling that her prices are ridiculous. You can get cashmere for a little more on the Q. I agree she was likable and entertaining but I refuse to buy lousy quality and if I spend close to 100 dollars on a sweater its going to be an authentic designer like Isaac Mizrahi.

NAME ALREADY TAKEN:  Other than saying she is a very attractve and funny 60-year-old lady, I will say "discretion is the better part of valor; discretely holding my fingers."

I have quite a few Marla pieces and I like them very much. Not everything is everyone's taste. I like something different and add my spin on it.  I can't wear anything nice now that I have a puppy, LOL but I enjoy what I have 😊

Your description sounds like Lori G..LOL

I like her...she's honest not like the ones who hawk the bag lady apparel to death.

I have many of Marla's pieces.  They are good quality fabrics such as rayon ponte - much nicer than polyester- cotton/linen & a very nice rayon/span.  They are not tent-like. I'm a size 10 & can usually wear a small or medium in her things.  Her leggings are the best, also.  I also think that many years in the entertainment field has probably contributed to her sense of humor.  She seems very good-natured to me.

I wish I had your good luck.  I've ordered many items and find the sizing is not consistent. I am thin and have ordered a few items that the arm openings were so small I could not get the garment on without popping stitches.  Reading reviews, others have said the same thing.

I've also received garments that were so big a person who is normally 2 sizes larger could wear it.
