Re: Lisa answers 2 big questions…..

She is actually sending mixed signals. She'll make a reply like the first that was quoted. But then make another one where she says that she is excited about her future, like she has something lined up.

Which with her still being under contract to QVC, if she has anything lined up she more then likely cannot say. December 12th or shortly after will be when she announces it if she does.

Re: Lisa answers 2 big questions…..

I personally think she was offered a wonderful opportunity somewhere and being at the Q hindered it..so she left. She is currently under contract and I am sure they have clauses about the competition and other things in that contract.

Once she is actually gone and out from under her contract - I am sure what her plans are will be announced then. I do not believe they forced her out..she was a huge money maker for them. I think this was purely her own decision.

I hope the future brings her nothing but good things. I think the way she was bashed and harassed here was horrible. I wonder about the people who have nothing better to do then follow her and then bash everything she does. How would they like that done to their mother, sister or daughter?

Best of luck to her.

I am already seeing her in the average pool of personas who left one job to become invisible. Take the View it has seen more changes than the price of fuel and most of those girls were at one point much more than talk show host...

I wish her new venture well and I wish her peace, joy and health.

That's assuming she doesn't want to become invisible. So many people assume she wants another television job - maybe she wants something behind the scenes? People point to Patti and Kathy as failures for not succeeding in another television role - but, they don't know them. They may be happy with their life and glad they no longer have the stress of day to day sales.

Glad Lisa has addressed her fans biggest questions. Hopefully this will end all the speculation.

Also her decision to leave doesn't sound to me like it was solely LR's

How can you make a statement like "Hopefully this will end all the speculation," and then turn around and make the statement, "Also her decision to leave doesn't sound to me like is was solely LR's?" That is total speculation!!

Personally, I think Lisa is totally burned out on QVC, she has made a nice nest egg, and wants to do something else. I think she is going to take a breather before looking into other possibilities...just like Patti Reilly did. Is there anything so unrealistic about that? And..no...I do not think anyone is forcing Lisa out of QVC. When people are forced out of QVC, they leave immediately, despite what their contract calls for.

Re: Lisa answers 2 big questions…..

Ladies it would be professionally unethical for Lisa to post any specific future career plans she may have in the works. To do something like that burns bridges and creates a terrible reputation "inside the industry" for the individual. No reasonably sane person -- unless they are embroiled in some bitter dispute and feeling angry toward their employer-- would do such a thing. One thing it's safe to say about Lisa is that she is none of the aforementioned, but she is an intelligent woman who parlayed a great opportunity at QVC into fame and fortune.

If I were Lisa, I would enjoy the privacy and live it up for a while -- outside of the public watch of the QVC audience -- before starting something new. Unless she truly loves it, I would not even stay in the Philadelphia area. Now, doing some speculation of my own I see living NYC in Lisa's future.

I'm sure her contracts prevents her from speaking about any future plans. I think she was pushing the boundaries by starting a new FB page.

I remember many years ago when QVC had their own handbag line called Medallion. It didn't last.

Now they have a line called GILI, I'm sure it will go the wayside also.

Re: Lisa answers 2 big questions…..

Oh, good grief. She didn't address anything. Anyone can see that. She didn't say anything at all, which is exactly how the situation should be handled. She knows what her next step will be but but NOW while she is still a QVC employee is NOT the time to disclose or discuss anything about her future. As for the GILI line, well big duhhhhhh to that. LR said a million times that she does not own the GILI. It's QVC line and even if QVC wanted to discontinue it, they could not. There millions of dollars of product and factory oders in the pipeline. Plus, it's a successful line. So, it will be continued at least for a while. People leave jobs all the time, it's not exactly uncommon. I love LR and I look forward to seeing what she does next and I'm willing to wait to see how it unfolds. I think a lot of professional women can relate to working hard, becoming a huge success, reaping the financial rewards of that success but doing so at the expense of everything else. Your work consumes you. I had a job like that once, I loved that job. I was making boodles of money, the work was important, I was respected in the industry but between the job and my family; I was sleeping 5 hours of night if I was lucky and I never had even a moment for myself. I was younger than LR and it dawned on me that I needed a change....I remember the exact moment. We were on vacation in Hawaii, my husband and the girls and my mom. I was sitting on that gorgeous beach in that heavenly weather in a chaise lounge.....with a pile of professional manuals.....rewriting a training manual. I'd found a day tour for my family. Not to have fun, I wanted them away so I could work in peace. That was my epiphany moment.
