I like a little bling on a few things, but never buy shark bite, asymmetrical, or uneven hems.

I have a lot of embellished One World tops but there's been a couple of them where I removed them. Embellishment is cheap to produce which is why it's all over clothing.
I've taken off all embellishment on a DG2 jacket and removed all the sewn on ones from a denim jacket too.

I like variety in my closet. I'll take a little bling and uneven hems. At one point in my career, my office was located in the middle of a manufacturing plant. I had to wear uniforms and steel tipped shoes. I had ten matching shirts and ten matching pants. I don't want my closet to resemble those days.

I don't want bling on my clothes either. Just comfortable, easy care, reasonbly priced clothing.

I honestly thought this trend was going to die out ten years ago.
I just avoid the look.

I agree about the sequins, studs, and other embellishments. When I see that, there's no chance I'll buy no matter how good the garment would look without them. I remember Diane Gilman's shows were full of embellished jeans years ago. It was hard to find a plain pair to buy. I've never liked the sharkbite hem look for myself, but I like a subtle high/low. If it's too pronounced, I won't buy it. I don't dress in extreme styles. Maybe it's because I'm too short (5'3") to carry them off, or maybe it's just not me.

You are DEFINITELY not the "only one" who dislikes embellishments, and I am definitely not the only one who LOVES embellished clothing.
What a wonderful world! You can wear your beautiful tailored pieces, and I can wear sequins and embroidery when I wish.
LIFE IS GOOD!
Although to be honest with you, I save "......sick to death....." for animal abuse, mass shootings, childhood hunger, that kind of stuff.

And I'm sick of tops with asymetrical and hi low hems. I just want straight hems and no bling. These have been around for years now and I think it's time to retire the look and move on.

I don't like bling -- at all. Even if it looks pretty, I don't want to take on the special care wash after wash. Plus, it's just not my style in the least.
Asymmetric hems? I still like them, depending on what it is. I don't ever like shark bite or trapeze hems though. But slight hi-lo's, or diagonal hems can sometimes look very nice on me.

" I don't want to take on the special care wash after wash. "
This is how I feel . If just one or two sparkles fall out it would bother me to wear it.
I feel as we grow older a bit of sparkle somewhere takes up the slack from losing the natural sparkle of our youth. As Marilyn Monroe sang in 'Diamonds are a girl's best friend'--and we all lose our charm some day.... Hopefully other assets replace it. I have seen women who do very well with embellishments on clothing or jewelry.
Concerning hemlines I hope the subtle rounded high-low remains viable . I do not like sharkbite for myself as I feel it highlights my problem are of tummy/midriff. Slanted are alright in my wardrobe if they are proportioned for petite , but that 'hangey' (?) side constantly bothers me.
Straight hems and no bling are mainly what I search for lately. Of course to each thier own.
