I watched the SG presentation but then you lost me, meaning, I just shook my head and that was it, turned the channel.
Measurements were being given for that long moonstone necklace with the tassel, she only had a 6 inch ruler but announced she cannot give the measurements since the ruler only goes 6"............seriously?
I thought we were a little smarter than the average guy, instead of saying, well the ruler isn't long enough, measure the piece in thirds then, even quarters and just add....really, the ruler wasn't long enough????

Have never seen ANY shopping channel or any store using a ruler to measure the length of a necklace/chain..... or bracelet, for that matter. Interesting.

I didn't see the show but why would anyone need a ruler to measure a bracelet or necklace? Why weren't the lengths right on the screen or on her product info. cards?

Wow you can get measurements on the jewelry but not clothing!!

Neither have I. That info should have been on her description card or a monitor. If nothing else, her producer should have checked on it and told her the information.

Jayne was trying to measure a long hanging tassel. It wasn't a big deal.

I'd say, get rid of the dang ruler already. All shopping channels use rulers to measure size of stones or dimensions of a piece of jewelry. I don't see the point. If the host say a pendant is such-and-such a measurement, we'd take his/her word for it. I'd say just have the vendor talk about the piece, the inspiration of it, the stone's origin, the legend of the stone or artwork, etc.
I really don't want to hear how many color the hosts has or purchased of the item, whether it be a clothing item or jewelry. I neither need nor want to know 'cus I don't believe it.

HSN had a nice Xavier vintage style ring, rather long. No measurements given on the website. Since knuckle to knuckle rings don't look good on me, I passed.

It is a big deal, you would think someone would have the intelligence to think and I give a lot of women credit but apparently there was a lack of thinking.
Now where are those wonderful measuring tapes they sent to each and every one of us..........those should be attached to each host for either a jewelry or fashion show.
