Hope this helps.  By the way, welcome to the boards!

Thank you, @aroc3435 , for tagging me.  @Whitelinen9500 , the booties came from Wal-Mart of all places!!!  $20!  They are available in the stores, or you can order them online.  I bought all three colors.  They have a memory foam bed.  It's not substantial but does provide some padding.  They are faux suede, so I treated them with a water-proofing spray.  You would have to be really studying them to figure out that they're not suede.  Here is a screen shot of the page:

I also just bought these from Wal-Mart.  WM is really stepping up its game!  All the boots I've purchased from there have been featured by YouTube influencers.  These boots are amazing and so comfortable!  They, too, have a memory foam footbed--again, not substantial but some padding.  They can be purchased in-store or online.

I usually wear a 7.5, but these tall boots only come in whole sizes.  I ordered an 8, and it fits like a dream.  If they came in a taupe or mushroom color, I would be all over them.  Like the short boots, unless you were up close and really studying them, you would swear they were suede.  I am retired and don't go a lot of places--to church and out with my friends/husband occasionally, so I really don't have the need or desire to drop a lot of money on shoes/boots that I don't wear frequently.

Love looking at all the boots, but I'm not comfortable wearing most of them. I am short and have skinny legs, they don't look attractive on me, and they are too much trouble getting in and out of them.

However, I do love my desert boots and have had them for years. Classic and simple.

@cosmic1 Love the Freebirds boots and wonder if you go down a 1/2 size or up if you are in between sizes.   Seems the reviews say folks are gong down a 1/2 size if in between?   Love the styles and that they have leather soles (like my old Fryes).  Thanks for the heads up about this boot company.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

@Jk9

My actual size is 10 1/2 Wide, so I usually end up having to buy size 11 W at QVC.  On the Freebird site, if they say fits as expected, I can wear the size 11's with no problem.  If the reviewers recommend sizing down, then you should do so.  I bought a couple in my regular size 11 that said that I could have gone down to a 10 - but the 11 was fine as well.

I hope this helps.
