I bought boots similar to these dark brown last year and black the year before.  I don't need new boots this year.

Re: It's Boot Time!

[ Edited ]

I've had so many in not too many years gone by that I thought I just had to have. Problem was I ended up never even wearing them out!!!!!!!  Why do I do this? I donot know!!!!!  I'm calling it my version of stupid impulse buying!!!!!!!

Seeing the 2nd pr here with what appears to be embroidery work reminded me of a pr I bought, a british tan faux leather with lots of embroidery in orange and white threads. They were a really nice style of boot (ANKLE BOOTS is the style I'm mostly all about), the stitching was also really nice.

Anyway, so far the only ankle boots I picked up this year were th hsn today's special by Bzees, that faux suede-like that are washable - yes, toss in the washer! I've not done this, not sure I really will ever need to. I like them, they feel really good on too (true 6.5M). If I recall I think they were $59, they're now a whopping $85.00!!!!  No way would I pay that for them!

I love the look of boots but I just can't get use to wearing them---none fit me well for some reason. And those boots, as gorgeous as they are--would not hold up in Seattles constant downpours for the next 9 months--I need rain boots!!

Yes, I have limited my purchases of any suede jackets or boots because of our damp weather in Washington. I do buy leather boots and wear them, except for the wettest of days. I LOVE boots, but do not need any more. Which is not to say I won't buy more.

I love boots, but they don't love me.  Somewhere along the way they reduced the shaft diameter such that I rarely can fit into them.  Much like a lot of sleeve diameters have also been reduced.  No, my arms and legs haven't gotten larger.  I actually have clothing and boots from way back when and I can still wear them, and do.  I don't usually care for the Wide Leg shafts because, for some reason, they make them vase-shaped which changes the look of the boot.  My older boots weren't vase-shaped.  I did manage to find a pair of Marc Fisher wide leg boots a few years ago and they weren't vase-shaped, so I bought them and handed them to my husband to give to me for Christmas.  All I'm asking for is a 15" shaft.

i wear mostly boots in winter. i keep my boots for years.   a difficult size in footwear because my forefoot is very wide, my heel is regular .  if  i go up a 1/2 size the last is longer both directions, so my heel slips and i stub the boot toe on things.

i try ordering online. nothing ever fits. and i have trouble walking in the chunky soles like lug boots.

NM is selling these over-the-knee sequin boots from Stuart Weitzman.  You will definitely be noticed!

Very similar to the Balenciagas worn by Michelle Obama on her book tour a few seasons ago.

@Desert Lily thanks. I love their boots and they are all very well made with leather soles and heels. I think there is a lit of hand work on them. Too notch quality. I do try and wait for sales and they regularly have good ones.
