Not a fan either. I typically am a 33" inseam. The couple of ankle pants I wore this summer are 30". And don't even get me started on wide leg ankle pants....

I don't intentionally do ankle pants for fall, (at 5' 6" sometime I get caught because I want a style or color), but I would wear capri length in wider slacks with boots.

I love ankle pants. I’m 5’10” and the sweet spot for me is 27 or 28 inches.

That's my least favorite pant.  I do not ever care to own ankle pants.

Ankle pants are a great option for flats & booties, much of it is personal perference & the accuracy of the measurement chart, brand, some petites read as ankle, etc. I would try some on in a regular store with your footwear to see what kind of look you want.

NYDJ pants are consistently cut long so their ankle pants read as a regular length on an average height person with flats.

I love ankle pants - in warmer weather!  I'm petite, but I'm long legged. My ideal pant inseam is 30". In ankle pants I prefer 28".

I am a slim petite, and I love pants of all lengths, including shorter lengths like ankle. One of my current favorites is a straight leg ankle jean; not wide, but not tapered either. Personally, I don't think anything "looks like floods" these days—people are free to wear pants of whatever length they want, and I say more power to them. The shorter lengths have a fun, youthful feel, especially with the right shoes.
