Inseam for an ankle pant?

I typically avoid ankle pants, especially for fall, but they are everywhere. I have bought a couple of pairs and I am looking at the Joan Rivers Ponte ankle pants (A515241). how short do you go? The inseam on the petites is 24 inches and that seems very short. I bought some ankle pants from Talbots and the inseam was 25+ inches for petites. I guess the shorter inseam is good for boots. What do you think? Do you do shorter ankle pants going into fall?

Ankle pants aren’t a good look for me. I have a long torso and prefer full length pants to balance upper / lower body proportions

Can't wear them. As @ALRATIBA said, I am too short legged and long torso for them. However, I do like when they offer them because I can buy them in Regular length which usually is perfect for me. I am kind of in-between petite's and regular's. My inseam is about 28" and if pants are too short it is just not a good look on me. I do love the look on tall ladies with ankle pants and short boots.

@GoodyShoes The longer the better... yes, I agree the shorter pant looks like it needs to be altered. Just my preference.

Thanks for the feedback. I think that’s why the regular inseam in this particular pant is almost sold out, but there are plenty left and the petites. The petite inseam is just too short for most petites I ordered them in the regular inseam. I will hem them, I guess. I like the look of longer pants with heels, but I need some pants that I don’t have to wear heels with.

Length varies by height, body type & preference...I'm 5'7" so for me crop 23-24", ankle 27-28", full 30-31". My everyday are crop & ankle & I only wear full when I have to. Try different lengths & see what you like @GoodyShoes....Enjoy.

I love ankle length pants. My preferred ankle length inseam measurement is 28". I'm 5'7" tall. I can wear that length pant all year long, with different shoes/boots.

Am not a fan of ankle pants, especially for the colder months. I don't wear boots and hardly ever go barefoot in shoes, so they look way too short for socks in sneakers or clogs or flats-- but then, I do like capris and crop pants, but for the warmer months. If I did have ankle pants and it was in the spring/summer, I would be rolling them up a few times.
