Re: I Love Kim Gravel, but...

[ Edited ]

I've noticed the big jump in pricing for Q clothing items, regardless of the brand. It's most likely the impact of cost of materials, but mostly the tariffs.

I think that's why Q has had so many more free shipping days lately and the coupons. Even with both incentives, the pricing is high enough now to give me pause on purchasing. Tops that were averaging $35-40 are now averaging $55-70.

Edited to Add: The sell to price is not determined by the vendors, it's QVC decisions and a sizable percentage of the increase is due to the tariffs. QVC has significantly increased the pricing of clothing and they are decreasing the quantities (available to sell) to limit the carry over of inventory that would be sold at a discount in the future. Shopping my closet is a much better option.

I don't care for her glittery rhinestone stuff .... same goes for Quacker Factory.  Not my style nor can I stomach both of those vendors.

Guess I missed them since I don't tune in as much as I once did.

Not really.....I don't purchase too many of her tops since 'cute' and Boho' are not my style.

Kim doesn't set the pricing herself.

ALL my pants/jeans are hers.  They are perfect for my size and style.  Sorry, but NYDJ is a Big no for me.

My style changes as I do.  Luckily, there is plenty to chose from.

Her pants are GREAT!

Re: I Love Kim Gravel, but...

I find that my size medium top ould be a small in Kim's or sometimes as large.

For this reason I rarely order clothing from KG.  The quaity has also been irregular.

Re: I Love Kim Gravel, but...

Don't get me wrong, I love to watch Kim Gravel, but if Gene Simmons, who never misses an opportunity to make money off the KISS branding, ever gets wind of her appropriating "Lick it Up" as her Triple Luxe song, he'll have something to say. That man has never missed an opportunity to cash in.

Re: I Love Kim Gravel, but...

When Kim first came to QVC I purchased many of her items, mostly tops.  That's when she really produced nice fashion for a reasonable price.  Now, she is way way too overpriced, even on sale items, and the fashion has become way too childlike for my taste.  I don't care at all for all the sequins and the fake pearls and words on my clothes. Plus they look very cheap.  Now, I rarely purchase anything from this line (like maybe one item in a year at most).  I watch the show periodically because I like Kim's personality but if I'm not adding it to my cart, it's only entertainment.  Return to your roots, please.  You can sell less at $65 or $75 or a whole lot more at $ 35 to $45 and still make the same profits with a huge volumes. Go back to your roots.  I know customers like me who have completely abandoned the brand may be willing to come back.
