I let DD know that this year I’m not getting together

Because I'm still under the weather!

Instead, now I’m looking forward to taking DGD and DGS to see “Wicked for Good"

@LTT1   Sorry you are under the weather.  Enjoy the movie with your grandkids.

....It will just be me and my husband for Thanksgiving this year, my husband's daughter might stop over for a bit but I do not plan on her for dinner.

Work has been really busy, husband is still having pain, trouble being on his feet for very long and he is just grumpy.     I really have no desire to go anywhere so I am happy this year I don't have plans.  

We are going to SAMS today...we must be crazy!   but I need a few things and getting there thru the week is impossible.  I would rather go alone but DH wants to go, it will just take longer to get what we need, his speed is slow right now.

On a good note, most of my Christmas shopping is done for our grand kids so I can focus on baking after Thanksgiving.

Good Morning All!  Missed checking in last week as we were visiting friends in the Laurel Mountain region.  Good to see "old" friends....and that applies both ways!

DD asked if I would be hurt if she wanted to do Thanksgiving dinner.....LOL....I was jumpin' for joy.  Need to take my corn casserole, homemade applesauce, pumpkin pies, apple pies and pumpkin biscuits, but I'm good.  Texted my dear friends to say, "not to brag, but my DD is cooking this holiday"!!  Yep....rubbing it in...giggles.

Anything special in Fashion for my online buddies today?  Prices just seem so over the top.  Strolled thru Macy's quickly this week and saw some nice items on sale.  Don't need sweaters, but I was tempted.

@LTT1     So sorry you are still not feeling your best.  Congrats on making the decision to not attend Thanksgiving and being uncomfortable.  As for the movie with your Grands,,,,what fun.  Went for Wicked part 1 last year with DD, and 3 GDs.  Great day out...part of my Christmas gift from them.  I stepped up and paid for the snacks....Good Lord!  shared popcorn and 1 drink each....Might have been cheaper to pay for the tickets...ha ha ha

Good morning all.

It started raining cats and dogs last night and seems to be clearing up this morning.

I expect this Thanksgiving to be very quiet which I appreciate it's been so busy.  I have doing some shoe shopping mostly dress flats and or low heel from Talbots.

There are a few farmers markets near me that I have been checking out and picked up some nice vegetables. fruit and unsweetened jams and jellies.

@LTT1 -feel better.  It's that time of the year and the weather has been crazy.

Yes I agree with you on the cost of the snacks at the movies...in fact, I just shut my eyes and went for it! Awful prices but I’m not going to let that stop me...

since I only go once per year!

it's tempting to think of taking a knap-sack full of our own treats!❤️

That gives me ideas...there are a couple stands around here I've never been to and you have given me incentive!
