This summer I ordered an e-book from Amazon.. not only did I already own it, but I already read it! Yikes! Lucky for me, Amazon has a better memory than I do and it alerted me to the error. {#emotions_dlg.crying}

They did? That has never happened to me and I need that desperately. Do you have to request that notification in your settings?

I didn't do anything special. I ordered a Kindle book through Amazon and before I could pay for it I got a message that said I had purchased the same book in January. It turns out it was a great book, but when a friend recommended the title this summer it didn't ring a bell. Oh, and btw, I'm not proud of that.{#emotions_dlg.blushing}

This is good to know! I also have a Kindle, but my duplicate problem comes from the print book side. I've never gotten an alert.

I order quite a bit from Amazon and whenever I click on an item I previously purchased there is a large post at the top that says: "You ordered this item on (date)." It really comes in handy, especially since there are some items that I actually do wish to re-order and want to make sure I am getting the correct one.

I tested it out tonight--ordering a book I had previously purchased and there was no alert. I'm checking with CS. Sure would be nice to have that safeguard. Maybe we need the same thing here at QVC!

Re: How You Know When You Are Out of Shopping Control!

The old adage, "out of sight, out of mind" really rings true for me, especially now that I am getting older. I decided t o get the skinny, flocked hangers and a lot of the wide, shoulder inserts to slide over the top so now I am able to hang up most of the whisper knits. The only ones I don't hang or the E.N.R. they are to heavy and will stretch. The others are fine. Being able to see everything (and I hang by color) stops me from overbuying.

That is exactly what I did and it has helped immensely.

So funny! I lost 50 lbs, so I'm selling my LDO stuff. So I find WK sweaters in 1x 2x 3x OMG all the same color! Or duplicates...I would have one for home, one for work. I'm sure my ebay buyers think I'm nuts, listing all those duplicates. Oh well...

I am practicing moderation now, well, trying.
