Re: How You Know When You Are Out of Shopping Control!

*You'll find the missing one when you move!*

Example:

I knew we had 2 Dan Brown Da Vinci Code books- one was ours and one was my MIL's. The 1st book was 'missing' in our bookshelves until I went and had to take all the books out to move the bookcase for some construction work being done. Guess what I found? The missing book!

LOL! I have done the same thing, Sheesh! But once it was the identical color but with a new name.

I AM, though, going to make lists by color of all the WKs I have.

And, in going through the massive WK collection I now own, I realized I had the Black WK sweater with Shawl collar from last year---the "vertical" shawl collar, not the new "horizontal one. I am so excited to "discover" this hidden gem,as I plan to wear it a lot this year.

I realize now that I bought it last year prior to my 17 day trip to Paris and Amsterdam in October...and then promptly forgot when I got back home as my head was filled with other thoughts as my son got married on November 9th---and I planned and put on the entire wedding here in MA--every single bit of it, including travel and hotel arrangements for the bride's family who had never flown before ...so that beautiful sweater was the furthest thing from my mind. Right after the wedding I went to AZ for 3 weeks, too, and then came back to MA and had to travel out to CA on business! it was a busy time.

I think I really need to "inventory" all my Linea--maybe in an Excel Spreadsheet....but who has time....like I said, I need an assistant....sigh.

I do that with books. I'll think, oh what a great book, order it up on Amazon, and then find I already own it and it's sitting in my to-read pile! Happens far more than I'd like to admit. I'm not there yet with Linea, but with all the WKs I now have, I can see duplicates winding up in my cart in the not-too-distant future.

I haven't yet done it with Linea but I have done it a few times with books.

jazzbabe, glad I'm not alone!!! I have a gazillion books and have no clue what I own. My best friend is the recipient of all my duplicates{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

I am ashamed to admit that I too have ordered the same items in the same color more than once

This summer I ordered an e-book from Amazon.. not only did I already own it, but I already read it! Yikes! Lucky for me, Amazon has a better memory than I do and it alerted me to the error. {#emotions_dlg.crying}

They did? That has never happened to me and I need that desperately. Do you have to request that notification in your settings?

When the UPS "lady" knows not to ring the doorbell and just leaves the packages. Ha, ha - I used to leave a note out saying "UPS, please do not ring doorbell" because it sends my dog barking profusely when they would ring the doorbell.
