I do believe that the only time I saw non-smiling models was on that particular show that I mentioned above. The new designers/special fashion show, maybe on Friday evening/early Sat.

Runway models are to NEVER smile .... they must keep a blank face, or else.

The reason is that they are supposed to be mannequins ..... a smiling model is showing her personality and suddenly the viewer is looking at a real human being and not looking at the clothes.

Nothing should detract from the clothes. ${#emotions_dlg.unsure}$

(Maybe QVC has a new approach and told them to quit smiling?)

Yes. I don't understand why others don't understand that. As far as models and sales people go - just show me the product, describe it properly, and I'll make the purchase, or move along. Not looking for best friends. Just the best deal on product.

That's funny you say that because I was watching the Steve Harvey show and he said he and his wife were at a fashion show in Paris, and when he saw how skinny the models were and how they never smiled, he said they needed a ham sandwich! Poor girls must be hungry! Lol
