The past few days I noticed that the models are no longer smiling. Is it me? The models they use when they do the shows from Italy never smile.

It also seems most of them wear sunglasses now - all of them, not just Isaac's.

You know, I noticed the same just this very evening!! Maybe they were told not to smile during the special designer shows? Wasn't it Fashion Designer Night (or something similar)?

I noticed that and figured they were exhausted. Some of them are there at night and early the next day. Now not smiling could be a nice change for Jackie. She is constantly laughing, especially when the camera comes close to her. Laughing, not smiling. What the heck is so funny all the time? Really, it's getting old now. Very distracting and unprofessional in my opinion.

I don't know how the models do it...seems like they are there night and day and overnight...when do they sleep....when do they spend time with their husbands and children....any wonder they don't smile....all those hours would wipe the smile off my face, too....

Maybe I don't watch that much any more, but there are a lot of models I just don't recognize.

I watched too much Americas Next Top model and Tyra said that if you are modeling high fashion, you don't smile. If you are a catalog model, you do smile. So, maybe the models are being told to do the high fashion thing instead of the commercial thing. lol.

Funny you mentioned this...I just noticed the other night that the very pretty and usually smiling model Stacy looked very serious! I would hope the models aren't being told not to smile...I'd much rather see them smiling than looking too serious (or mad!)

I don't think runway models ever smile. Maybe they are copying them.

I often wondered that about Jackie, she always seems to be on at all times of the day, night and even middle of the night, she's my favorite! As far as them wearing sunglasses, maybe they're trying to hide their bags and wrinkles from not getting much rest.
