For Discussion: How Do You Like This piece?

Sometimes, it seems vendors "don't get" how to dress a woman to her advantage.

This item is from another vendor (J Jill if you're wild for it), but for me, it has a noticeable design issue!

I would never, EVER buy an item that highlights the thighs.

***With your figure issues how do you view this piece?

I have one very, very similar that my daughter gave me almost 3 years ago from Eileen Fisher, but without the ombre.  I love mine.  It cost more than I would have paid, but she bought it for me.

@ECBG   I think the shirt doesn't really highlight the thighs. By having the darker area on top, the eye is actually drawn upward to the face. The v neckline allows for a beautiful necklace which, for me, would also draw attention away from thighs.

Just my opinion. If it came in a petite, I may consider purchasing it.

Like the neckline a lot.  Dont care for the useless pockets, hate the bleached bottom area.  Looks like an accident with Clorox while cleaning the bathroom.

I like a lot of j.jill's clothes.

I think this top,while not my choice, actually elongates the legs, provided you choose to wear it with white pants or jeans, as shown.

This would be perfect for me but I don’t love the ombre. I need chest pockets and would wear this with leggings.

@Shanus

Actually, the eye is drawn to bright (think of a stop sign).  I turned down a position there.

Couldn't wear my dark denim.  Really?  ALL that much in a leg, plus alterations?  Redo it all?  (They can't require associates to wear only theirs unless they buy it for you like a uniform, but they can say "no denim".). No thanks!Smiley Happy

I really like this shirt and would probably buy it if not for the ombré.  I just do not care for that.

I didn’t read your comments before I scrolled down on my phone. I liked it...until I got to the lighter colored bottom. But, I didn’t really think about it emphasizing her thighs (maybe that’s because the model is slender and it isn’t an issue?) I just thought it looked weird. I think someone said it looked like an accident.

I really like it for me.  I am large busted with slimmer hips so the lighter lower area would balance me out.   I also like the neckline.
