Fall is a hard color season for me and always gives "winter complections" a challenge. Some of us can get SO sallow with many of the colors!
Found this Patricia Nash scarf at Dillards Yesterday. Thankfully there is blue based red as well as green and the tan isn't heavy in yellow!

It's nice but I wouldn't call it a Fall scarf. I have rather large colletion of scarves. I'd wear that with my olive ankle pants and a white tee. I'd weat it with black pants and white tee or jeans and black tee. Anything that pulls the colors out of the scarf.

I go by weight. My light-weight scarves I wear in spring/summer are cotton or gauze but I have to wear them at work because the AC is right on my neck. Flannel and knit scarves I wear in fall/winter.

@makena@chrystaltree,Thanks. It gets so hot here during the time that summer's all white begins to look a little despirate, although, I know it is said "white can be worn year", it looks out of balance and off white mixes better.
The scarf print also appears in Patricia Nash's fall handbag collection. I'll wear it when we replace white slacks with tan, navy, and black.

I m surprised that you can wear this scarf if you have "winter" coloring.
I suppose with a berry colored tee or turtleneck...

Now there is cool winter, clear winter, and deep winter.
There are some warmer tones particularly with deep winter.

@ECBG - I think Vera Bradley's new Havana Rose would look really nice on a "Winter." I love roses, and I would wear this, but the pattern might be not exactly what you want. What do you think?

People don't wear things around their necks, neither scarves or jewelry, when they live in a place that's seriously hot.

@Kachina624, Thank you! It isn't too aggressive at all and not too much yellow, although I try to get a little lighter yellow. The pattern is a little to large for my taste. Thank you so much!![]()
