That's always been a red flag for me. I can't help but wonder, depending on the person, if their behavior is better or worse than what I encounter on a daily basis.
Perhaps I'm simple - I'm the same person with family, at work and on these boards. There are a couple of people that I have been posting with for over 6 years and yes I would like them to be a neighbor or at least live in the same state as me.

I've never thought there were women being fake here, but I have often wished some would. Like someone else mentioned, I mostly scan the responses to see if a sentence grabs my attention.

I have no reason to be someone I am not....because I love who I am...

Interesting, but I think I am even more honest here than in real life. For instance, I can tell you I'm 5' tall and shrinking and I currently weigh 140 lbs. I won't tell my real life friends how much I weigh, but here on the boards it's often pertinent information. I've been criticized for sharing about my elderly parents and my disabled son.. in fact, I hesitate to do that any more because of the harsh responses I received. I don't talk to my coworkers about these things, and rarely even to my closest friends because they know my husband, son and my parents - I feel that's a violation of their privacy. However, on the boards, no one really knows my identity, they certainly don't know my family, so I don't mind sharing. I can honestly say, and you can believe it or not, that I have never told an untruth on this forum and I'm sure that's true for most of us.
