@SharkE I wonder if because they did rearrange the placement of the 2 sizing charts on what I have observed (where you 'click') you overlooked the regular 'fit guide' ? Such as the item kachina suggested has the 'fit guide' right around the square size things to click on like s/m/l. It says 'fit guide ' and has a place to click for the everyday /basic measurements.  The 'tailor's' sizing is down under description .

I don't like that the videos pop up first either and find the colors difficult to see when they are covered up ! but I guess the web designers ignored my memo !Smiley Frustrated

@SharkE  Here is a brand new item, A279929.  It looks exactly the same as it's always looked.  The first measurement is the length  from shoulder to bottom of hem.  The second measurement is the chest circumference measured 1" under the arm.  Those are really the only two things I need to know.  This isn't rocket science, and anyone with a lick of sense ought to be able to figure it out.

The purpose is for you to determine if the darn thing will fit you.  I wish every place where you can't try on the clothing would give these measurements.

This isn't new; why the sudden panic?

Yes, that one has what I need, but, some don't that I have wanted. It's like they're not across the board uniform information.

I've noticed that since Gary is boss that he puts pockets on EVERYTHING! Sheeesh! I don't need them on EVERY article of clothing I wear...I carry a purse! Men need all those pockets I guess but I sure don't. I like a clean line with no bulges from all that extra material. My fave straight leg D&C tall leggings (NO pockets!) that I loved and wore for many years have been discontinued and I'm scared he'll do the same with the boot cut version (A 01725)....also NO pockets. Or worse he'll ADD pockets. Stop the pocket madness please.

Can't we just order the same size we have always bought in D&C?

Did they say they've changed the sizing?

I just now called up and ordered a Linea color blocked sweater and had the rep tell me the sizes for large and xlarge. I was afraid even though it's pricey it was gonna blow out the door so I grabbed the XL and she said she's had others that has had the same problem she helped me to figure out what would be best for my busty bust. LOL Linea, runs smaller then Denim & Co. that I take a large in and besides a sweater should be a tad bigger.

Have to consider washing and drying, too. She said she would tell powers that be about the sizing problem.

I also sent Gary Goben a message.

Speaking for myself I want to see the actual measurements for each and every item presented. I've seen bust differences in even Denim and Co. of 2-3 inches.

90% of the time I take a 'L' in D&Co. but when they have something in a 'relaxed' fit I can go down to a 'medium'. That's rare, mind you, but, in their oversized tee's it can happen, that's why it's so important to just not take everything for granted. I hate to send back and pay extra.

Sharing this information: I was told by the customer rep who took my order. The very last measurement that says 'chest for the xlarge is 23.75 you take that times 2 and it comes to 47"  The 'large' measurement is  22 or so , so, you times that by 2 and the chest would be 44 or a tad over. I don't like stuff tight and not vain, so, I went with the xlarge since I'm 44 in the bust area.

Hope this helps others to order !

@SharkE

Hi sharke.  I had this learning curve a while back, too...for some reason when the item is a cardigan or fly front, they use only the back measurement and the customer has to double that for a chest circumference measurement.  I don't have a clue as to why it's necessary to do it that way...just give me a chest measurement and don't make me do the math LOL.

There's a difference between "Chest circumference 1 inch below armhole" as you would see in a pullover top and "back chest 1 inch below armhole seam to seam."  In your example, they did the same thing with the sweep measurements...you have to double the sweep seam to seam to get the circumference.

Chest Circ 1" below Armhole000
Back Chest 1" blw a/h-sm to sm242628

Why they want to make it so confusing is beyond me unless it benefits them in some way...lots of returns due to sizing issues = more $$ for them maybe?

I think most people are looking for the basic measurements and they could help us by listing the chest, length, sweep, hip, waist measurements first, then list the rest of the measurements.  That's the way I'd do it.

So, while I cannot ding QVC for not giving you the measurements you needed (they did give it to you, but you had to know that you had to double the back chest seam to seam), I agree completely with you that the click here sizing chart is...difficult, to say the least.
