I think most of the host wear a smaller size than they actually need in the clothes and it doesn't look good. The items are usually gaping and they can barely button the middle button on a lot of clothing. It would be nice if someone actually told them to wear a size that really shows what the article of clothing would look like if you order it in your correct size. I don't personally care what size a garment is when I buy it  as my concern is does it fit properly. Sizes are all over place depending on the manufacturer of the garments.

Just my opinion but often many of the hosts and models are wearing the wrong size.  Last night a XXS models had on beautiful button front blouse.  It gapped open as it pulled across the chest.  This model is always beautiful in anything she wears and I am sure this was not her choice.  I have seen the brief tours they have shown us of the models closet.  Each outfit is together and ready with the models name on it.  I am sure there is no time to pull a larger size.  The stylist could have given her a skinny tee and had her wear it open.  This shirt was promoted to be worn open.  Or the model could have worn a poorly fitted bra with less support.  Never a good idea.   Poorly fitted items on models and hosts have saved me money.  I have had to many costly returns in the past.   I now look at garment measurements, the Q size chart and read reviews and forums.  So far putting items in my wish list or shopping bag while I do research has worked for me.  I have a few designers I can still trust and stay mainly with them.

1x would fit her but she seems to think a very large gap looks fine. I didn't think she was able to move her arms. I still don't get why the size in a garment means much...it's not like we wear our size on the outside of our clothing. People can easily see the reality of what size we are.

I think it's hard to find clothing that flatters and fits.  Wearing clothing that is too small is not a good look.  Wearing clothing that is too large looks sloppy and disheveled.  I can't stand to wear clothing that is too tight or close to the body.  I don't have the shape for it and it is uncomfortable.  I have noticed all the models seem to wear sizes that appear to be too small, especially the curvier models.  If you are wearing a jacket and it doesn't button or zip with ease it's too small from my perspective.  I think all the models are lovely but they are often not styled in what I would consider to be the proper size.  JMO.

Edited to add:  I didn't see the jacket Carolyn was wearing but I did see the Y neck roll tab top she was had on and thought she looked really nice.  I would say the models are comfortable with the sizes they model since they all say the wear their regular size.

When the garment doesn't fit the model or host it's distracting. This is just me  of course, but if my initial impression isn't good, I 'm likely to just pass.

Bingo! You are right. QVC is trying to sell things so showing proper fit is important. If something looks tight or gapes open at the wrong places on the hosts or models, it turns me off. Don't they have stylists on staff to look for such things? I see ill-fitting garments way too often on air. Tight jackets and coats are a pet peeve of mine.

I agree to a point. Carolyn could maybe probably take one size larger but she has often said she likes her tops to fit closer to her body. Is that a good fit .....that is for Carolyn to decide. Also it appers many times they never have her size on the rack of clothes so if it is a jacket, vest, etc. she will still will try the item on just to show how it will look on a person. As far as the models most of them are almost as tall as my husband and imo way too thin and because of this imo you do not get an accurate look as how the item will fit on the "normal" size woman. According to medical information.....because of my heath problems I've be told....the averaghe American woman is 5'4",  weighs around 135-140 lbs and wears a size 12-14. Now with that said I'm sure many of you are going to jump on me but please understand I have been told this by two of my specialists so you take for what it's worth. Back to Denin and company....the other mornng they had a new ptite model who was 5 ft tall and the clothes xxs hung on her and I think she was a middle age woman. So you can't please everyone.  IMO I don't think you really get an accurate fit on anyone, I also think it is wrong when some of the hosts wear their own clothes. If you are going to sell QVC clothes then wear QVC clothes. As far as Carolyn she always wears an item that is in the show and in the size she feels fits the way she wants. Wouldn't all of us?

I personally think everyone lies about their sizes during the clothing shows.

This is a pet peeve of mine! I find it really hard to figure out how an item is going to look or fit me when I see a host or model wearing something that is either too tight or too small. Most of the time we don't have a clue what size they're wearing. Many times I've ordered pants in my normal QVC size thinking they'll fit close to the way it fits the model or host, only to find out when I receive the slacks that I should have sized up or down. It's frustrating.
